[Help] my ps3 might be dying!!
Hey guys, I have the fat PS3 80gb, after plugging the E3 flasher and playing with it about 3 times, when ever I boot the ps3 now, its starting the "fan -test" and shuts it self automatically. then the red light just blink untill i un plug the power cable. when i plug it in and start, its just doing the fan test again. wtf am i doing wrong?!

i have no experience with flashers at all, but is the e3 still connected? , it needs wires soldered right?, nothing wrong with one of those?
maybe there's a short somewhere on the board? ok, to be honost i have no idea yet, just trying to help.

I've waited half hour and it's still doing it when i start it.... the fan test is starting all the time!! what do i do

if that's the case he could pull out the cable to the on/off eject board, and start the ps3 with the controller to test this.

, all he has to do is start it without the top on , there are little metal things on the power/eject board . if you look it should look like an upside down L these are the connectors they could either be bent or broken . if thats the case then he can bend them back to position , get a new board or bypass with ps button on controller i suppose after removing the cable. if they are undameged tho. idk what to to tell you

How do I start the PS3 without the indicator ? it won't start X_X i touched the metal things could I ruin them?

look where the power and eject buttons are . there should be 2 little upside down L things. arer they bant any other way ? just simply touch the L where the power button was. if it keeps doing the fan thing idk what to tell you

OMFG I fixed it...... I feel like god's giving me a 2nd chance.. should I mess again with the ps3 and try the E3 flasher or not?.... :/
I tried putting the metal things exactly on the power button sensors.. and it worked. still no idea why the fan test accourd Last edited by Bloox; 11-09-2012 at 02:03 PM. |
