I had a thought about something and wondered if maybe there was any way of somehow getting this to work. I have a fat 60GB launch PS3 with KMEAW installed and a slim with 4.25 OFW. My big question/suggestion is this:

Would anyone know if maybe it's possible to downgrade an OFW PS3 using another PS3 that already has a CFW installed

It doesn't have to be this or that specific OFW, just a thought. I figure that if this were a plausible or possible feat, then maybe it could be done through a data transfer utility like procedure. If it isn't possible, then maybe someone can explain to me why it isn't, just so that I or anyone else reading this could at least leave this topic will get some kind of useful information. If it seems like an interesting idea and no one has explored it, I'd love to see what someone would find out about it. If this little idea spawned from a tired, late night mind were to actually turn out to be useful, that would really be amazing!! If this isn't the right place to talk about this, who would be the best to share this suggestion with and where? Thanks very much for the time used on reading this post. I hope that I may have contributed at least the smallest fraction with a probably useless idea. As long as the answer(s) I receive back is/are informative in some way, then I'll be glad to have contributed in even the most miniscule of ways and feel a little better knowing that I've learned something new by asking others.

no its not possible . if it was as simple as that then people wouldnt be buying a hardware flasher to downgrade , data transfer utility only transfer psn games and pesonal data . it does not transfer firmware

Has anyone ever delved into this though to try something with these features? What if there is some kind of exploit that we could utilize within this feature, and it's just waiting to be found? I wish I were a programmer, I'd definitely try something using the DTU if no one else would. With one using a CFW already and the lvl0 keys for everyone to see, there could be potential in it if someone tried it!
