Cool news, I got in to the scene at just the right time. As a new user, just also wanted to give my thanks to everyone involved. I am a total noob, as noob as they get. I have never owned a playstation 3 since it launched. Just yesterday received my playstaion 3 with KMEAW CFW 3.55 from ebay. CECH-L01 Fat/NOR. I did a lot of lurking. ALOT of reading...asked maybe 2 questions 3 tops around here. I don't like to bother people...So after going through a couple of tutorials, I installed and used Rebug Toolbox 2.0, did the Toggle QA, tested it. Used Condor Updater to boot to recovery, installed the latest version of Rogero CFW, blank screen, left it for a bit, come back and its installing update, sigh of relief, after a few prompts, PS3 restarts and I see the famous Rogero flash across the screen, all smiles.
The only darn thing I forgot to do was use Multiman to make some backups in case of brick lol. It was pretty quick and easy. From there I was ripping my legit copy of Resistance FOM, i ripped to internal HDD, no transferring, no ftp, no nothing, and it ran, with and without disc. I was installing pkgs, using ftp, running in to a few problems i got stuck at, frustration, more reading, more googling, bookmarking, using an NTSF HDD to transfer my first dl'd game to ps3, and testing it, works a charm! I don't have a full grasp on everything yet, i've still got a lot to learn, but at least I have what it takes to own and use a CFW ps3
I am strapped for cash, that's life. And I like games that tell great stories, I am very much anticipating games like Beyond Two Souls, The Last of Us, and Until Dawn, which are PS3 exclusives, and with my xbox 360 etc, it just adds up to too much, then we got to worry about xbox live gold, dlc, seasons passes...GEEZ. As if life isn't expensive enough as it is. I do buy legit copies of games I really enjoy such as Halo 4, Uncharted series. But yeah, above stated is why I decided to go this route. To everyone at this site and it's great and vast resources....thanks again. And to the noobs who gives ones like me a bad name...don't be lazy! If I can do it, YOU can too

Well said!! I also consider myself a n00b, But I rather do lots of reading and research instead of bothering other people. I've done lots of things that way.
