i'm off to bed now. see if i can sleep off this cold. if you have a prob with the de-brick then yours best bet would be to talk to the guys over at tortuga in that thread. unless there is a thread over here about it ![]() and good luck oh ps when you have it downgraded/un-bricked i'd create a new dump so it will save a bit of time if you brick again as you can just re-flash (assuming you dont detach the TEENSY++) |

PS3 is back to life. Everything went perfectly. Thanks million times mate. I will detach it from the ps3 because I got really messy wiring. But in any case, I will take a backup. Good night and I hope you be OK soon. |

Just one other thing.
I will Purchase the E3 Limited Edition Most likely for hare because they also have the E3 Card Reader/Downgrader: http://modchipsaustralia.com/product...2&cat=2&page=1 http://modchipsaustralia.com/product...1&cat=2&page=1 Now So the limited edition comes with all the stuff without the Card Reader or Micro SD card? so i would have to buy them separately? now as for downgrading goes. i know you have to use a Downgrade dongle along the lines of your TUT so i can i make the E3 Card Reader into a downgrade dongle by putting some sort of downgrade file on it? or would this be better recommended: http://www.ozmodchips.com/ps3-dongle...der-p-405.html it's an Eclipse (eclips3) all ready programed in Downgrade mode. |

I have received everything in this picture.
The store told me that was everything I need to downgrade my NOR PS3, CECH21xxA. I am wondering if I actually still need the PCB Adapter. Any insight would be much appreciated. |

OK Got some New information from the Wiki For E3 Flasher:
Quoted hare: "Flash Fun Downgrade Process (Highly Recommended) Requires soldering! See also E3's official PDF on repairing a bricked console 1. Solder the Tristate of the PS3 to the SBE pad on the E3's ribbon. - well this confirms one thing. 2. Patch your bkpps3.bin with Rogero's PS3 Nor Dump Patcher v0.01 or patch it manually. Once that's done, place it by itself on a micro SD Card. 3. Flip all switches down, except the first one (Flash Flun). Turn the PS3 on. If you get a 1101111 error the Tristate is not on correctly. When PS3 is powered on, press the START button on the PS3 and wait for the LED's on the indicator to reach 100% (Once finished they will flash alternatively). 4. Switch off the console from the back using the switch provided with the E3 kit. Flip down the Flash Fun switch and place your USB downgrade jig in the port closest to the Blueray Drive (furthest to the right). 5. Quickly press the power and eject button. If successful (depending on your dongle) it will flash or flash green and the console should power off automatically (If not repeat the process but faster). If the console gives you a YLOD, check the Tristate and Flash Fun switch. 6. Copy Lv2diag.self (File1) & Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7 onto a USB. Place the USB in the same port you used for the downgrade jig. Turn on the console and the downgrade process should begin automatically (You can tell by the HD and USB light flickering). Once the install is finished the console will turn off automatically (Check the log on the USB to confirm it was successful). 7. Copy the Lv2diag.self (File2) onto the USB (Replacing the first Lv2diag.self). Place the USB in the same port you used in the last process. Switch on the console and it should switch off automatically after a few seconds. 8. Power the console back on and you should see the connect the controller screen. Now follow the on-screen instructions until you reach the XMB. If the screen is black, check if the Tristate cable is fully removed (not bridged etc) or if its still attached; not touching anything. 9. Dehash the console and or install/set QA Flag/Toggle to prevent bricking when changing firmware." But as you can see " E3's official PDF on repairing a bricked console" that link is dead so that is no use for me unless someone can find me the E3's Official PDF on it somewhere else. EDIT - Fixed it i think i found the right one i uploaded it hare - (Google Drive): https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B6Z...VpLMncwcWZ2SXM Not Much info Though. because it make contain were the solder point's are for NOR consoles, I'm trying to confirm my last post. - EDIT Only One Pic LOL Not much Help. i was even lead hare: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Hardw...shing#Tristate but the problem is: " Tristate Tristate, or as it is referred to in the service manuals SB_DISABLE exists solely for the purpose of placing the South Bridge pins into high-impedance (the third state) so that we can access the flash without the South Bridge interfering. Because the tristate pin is not connected to the NOR flash TSOP package, but to the South Bridge BGA package, this makes tracing the pin quite difficult. One should be able to locate it by having the running you could ground out the unknown pins whilst checking the continuity of a known address or data line against ground. These should enter high-impedance or no-continuity when you ground out SB_DISABLE. " Connecting NOR pads to flasher E3 / E3 Linker - (See hare) N/A Big Problem (were is the right pin?) TRISTATE SBE - This is on the Ribbon so we know were to solder the first half. N/A Click on the images to see them in full size. ![]() ![]() Information Obtained from Hare: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Hardw...shing#Tristate The Red Text Is My Doing. ************* [ - Post Merged - ] ************* Well I Confirm This Now Some 1 Else has to verify. These Are the Solder Points From E3 Ribbon To JSD--001 Board (NOR) TriState: ![]() Bigger Version Of Pic: http://hostup.co/images/27555818392141696756.jpg Info Obtained From hare: http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/File:...-progskeet.jpg http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Hardw...shing#Tristate https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6ZE...VpLMncwcWZ2SXM Last edited by the_lost_soul; 11-10-2012 at 04:30 AM. |

Well i have been thinking about the only problem i have left.
Securing the E3 Clip. Well hare is a list: Tape - Fabric Tape? or Something that does not melt and is very strong. (wiki says don't use glue or tape) Maybe SupperGlue Many people it is best to use on circuit boards or motherboards when you need to fix something. - But it could melt of off. is Hot Glue safe? - could burn the **** out of your PS3 + Melts Now not sure but i havant gotten much info on this but maybe it would be a good solution>>> Rubber Cement ![]() i hear is can withstand heat and it's Plastic based so non-conductive. - the down side of it is that it may be highly flammable - (Rumors say only in it's Liquid Form) - also depends what Brand you get. So any one want to help me out researching for ways to secure the E3 Clip? Something like Silicone, Rubber Based Glue or Fabric.... |
