For now there is no easy way for devs to make a console downgrade from software. The only thing that we could do to downgrade is to buy these flashers, and they work.

I didn't mean it that way, is like this:
for ME its too expensive to do it, because the downgrading service is expensive in my country, and the games too. Too expensive actually.
So what i meant is, i'll wait for a free solution, if it never comes, its not that big of a deal. I just wanted to play some emulators on my ps3, don't need backups.

I don't see where buying a hardware flasher is supporting the scene.
You are buying a product just to downgrade your PS3 (if you can) but you are not supporting the scene, you are paying for something that will give you a chance to unleash the power of your system or brick it.

Yeah sites that sponsored DRM dongles (i won't name the obvious one) got some nice cash with the ADS and many other things but that **** happened got debunked and now the one who want to buy a dongle is because he/she wants it.

The only way i see support the scene is with community growt and more info shared/methods etc.
Users who don't know what a search button is..well.
A little reading or research if some user is interested on getting *rich* info and understand better PS3 system instead of asking like spambots all the time the same ****, will be cooler than *buy something just for support*.

I read many users ***** about the price of hardware flashers, yeah you are right is a tool that's a little *bit* expensive.
But if you own more than a PS3 i don't see why ***** about a hardware flasher is expensive.

You have many options there:

1) Wait for a softmod solution (that i doubt that we see that anytime soon)
2) Don't buy the flasher and stay OFW and stay on legit path.
3) Buy the flasher, perform the task yourself = Reading, READING and MORE Reading about the subject.

For the price of a FLASHER for the one who likes to play their backups and don't like the idea of 'brews. It's a very small *fee* to pay for play pretty much anything you want.
With duplex releases and many others.
If you do some quick calculations for the price of the flasher you can purchase how many legit games on PSN or retail versions? think about it.

Or im wrong on this..or don't know.
But well it's a matter of opinions.

And why should it be free???

People put time and money into working this **** out they owe you nothing

I feel council tax should be free and fuel should be free of tax and don't start with road tax

Just pay someone to downgrade you if you cannot afford a flasher it sounds expensive where you are I agree but its less than the price of a game
