I have the same problem as everyone else - 4.21 REX on black ops2 patch 1.02.

A friend of mine has the legit copy and is online ATM and it will not let me online.

Could this have anything to do with the .self files maybe ?

When i opened up the game signed in to psn, it ended up freezing before the main menu. I just logged off and logged back in when hitting the online button, but i get a Error Message stating that the servers is not available? Can this be fixed or am i banned?

Could be that the servers are down, or they are blocking backups from being played. We should know more tomorrow when the game is officially released!

you're banned i'm affraid. but i'm pretty sure if you buy the game the server error message will magically disappear. I'm all for buying games and supporting devs but i'm not throwing good money at a game that has just been slightly glammed up from previous 1. They can keep their servers for all i care. I will wait for a decent fps rather than waste 45 quid on black ops 1 glammed up with a few new load outs and league play etc.

Hopefully that's true. When i pick it up tomorrow and find out i'm still banned i'll call them up asking why it wont let me online. Maybe they will do something about it.

The game is already released where I live (Australia - it's 2am).

I have quite a few mates already online and playing yet my duplex 'backup' has the unavailable message. They are definitely blocking backups somehow, guess we all just wait until we actually buy/get the game legitly.

I personally would never log into a legit psn account on cfw. i have ps3 on ofw for that. If I wish to try out games online on cfw i create a dummy account, that way if I like the game I'll gladly nip out and buy it and use my proper psn account therefore never risking a ban
