If you can't follow that then you probably shouldn't be messing with custom firmware on your PS3.

Read the instructions for 1.04. They say you can try to go straight from 4.xx to 4.30 v1.04 but if that doesn't work then you should go the recommended route.

I've been having some really weird issues with PSN games since I went to 4.30. I fixed the EBOOTs and the Param.sfo files and the game will run but as soon as I exit out to the XMB it states that the data is corrupt and I can't run the game again. Has anyone else seen this? If so is there a fix?

I didn't try any of my PSN games on 4.21 so I may play around with that to see if my issues are still there.

ok ill stay for now on 1.0.3,im facing different problem now,is there any updated pkg file for ftp that needs to be install on ps3 to connect ps3 with flash xp? old one named rogero-fifa dont work i guess that pkg file was compatibile with cfw 3.55 but its not for 4.30

Multiman has a built in FTP so I just use that.

Ah looks like you'll need to use the available tools to resign it for 4.xx so that you can use it.
