It's your wires not the chip
I get problems with the spanson p chip but put on single word mode with USB transfer speed it takes 30mins to write the chip but works every time |

I tried the crazy glue, I think it would work good if you get a good connections first try. Bit of a pain to put it back together and it's no go... Get a linker board... It was my final solution...

There is something that confuses me on the e3 flasher tutorial.
the guide says: After triggering Factory Service Mode, go to the folder called “service mode files” & in there is a folder called “service mode 3.55 downgrade files” There is no folder that is called service mode files. there is a folder called get in fsm and get out of fsm. Do you mean those folders?? |

I've got a question about NAND pinout. I have the cok-001 board, with one NAND on top and one on bottom. The PS3devwiki site says:
Which NAND is low/high? COK-001 : IC3802 LOW (main componentside next to Starship2) IC3803 HIGH (backside next to 60-pin BD ATA connector) Ok, so I know which is low/high and have located them. However, nothing else references low/high. The pinout table on PS3devwiki references it as NAND 0 and NAND 1 and the pinout diagram to the right of table says NAND 1 and NAND 2. http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Hardw...ng#NAND_Wiring Does LOW = NAND 0 on the table and NAND 1 on the diagram? Does HIGH = NAND 1 on the table and NAND 2 on the diagram? Or is the LOW/HIGH the opposite of that? I'm just trying to clear up my confusion on this. Thank you! |

![]() Now In the above Image. As you can see on the right you see the E3 Linker. The green boxes Surrounding the E3 Linker Means i know were those connections connect to. The Red Boxes However I'm not to sure where those connect. I have Drawn Red Lines From the connections on the Picture Above to Text with the questions on it. So can any one correct me and add some info for me on those connections that i am not to sure about by answering the questions on the picture? ...................................................................................................... I have Made a decision to go with the E3 Linker as it comes with the E3 Limited Edition As well and is more reliable. - meaning no Brick's hopefully + a permanent solution. Would i need to solder all those connections? because i just want a normal downgrade and normal jailbreak no dual boot. Now does the Kit Come with the wire's Already to solder on? or do i have to buy them separately? if so which ones would be highly recommended? - as i am going to close the PS3 Up with all these wires in. (i don't want them to snap off, or to melt off) - once all soldered in any ways to bind them to gather like into one big cable? without damaging them? would the solder that's already on the pins be enough or would i have to put more on top to make a secure connection? Would the Tutorial in any way be different since i am not using the clip? Last edited by the_lost_soul; 11-20-2012 at 12:47 AM. |

Is it possible to recover from a brick with only a partial dump? I have a dump that has ros1 and cvtrm missing. All other files extracted properly with flowrebuilder. The board is a CECHL ver 001 and is not booting (3 fast beeps and then flashing red) after flashing a bad nor dump. Is this ps3 recoverable or not? If yes, could someone point me in the right direction? I have a hardware flasher (teensy) and soldering skills at hand.

So, I got my E3 Flasher all installed on a CECH-H01
Plugged it all in and turned on the HD first then the PS3 directly after. PS3 boots up to "Cannot Detect Hard Drive" or something to that matter. The PS3 is working fine otherwise when it's put together normally. It plays great. I just want to downgrade it to 3.55 and then play around a bit. So.. If the clip isn't installed properly, won't the Hard Drive Dock still boot the PS3 to the XMB? Or does the NOR clip have to be perfect for it to boot to the XMB? I'm only asking because if its just an error with the Dock, or the Hard drive bay, I don't want to have to take the clip back off if I don't have to. Any help on this or similar situations? Thanx Last edited by sleyeguy; 11-12-2012 at 09:26 PM. |
