Was USB dongle authorization dropped or tightened up after 3.55? I thought the dongle ID generator was now useless along with chances to use a dongle/service jig.

I presumed dongles/jigs were dropped in favor of open suite or something

PSP, PS1,PS2,PS3 & BD Movie ISOs, proper network loading to name a few things..
DEX does do network loading but the Cobra way is superior
DEX also has full discless compatibility now like Cobra.

Oh hell yeah I know it can be done for free!! I seriously wish it was. I dont like having to stick a dongle in before booting. I will say it proved useful the other day for its FSM capabilities. but my E3 dongle does the same I was just too lazy to dig it out.
The thing is though who do I demand it to? I wouldnt have a clue who the devs are. They likely signed a contract with Max which prevents them from doing so anyway.
Id love it if some of the real devs in the scene focused on real features for the PS3 (all of what Cobra has, plugin system like DH JFW, etc) but lets face it theyre not. Stuff like what Cobra and JFW have done is why I hacked it and is my definition of hacking a console.. add features, unlock features.
Its sad that piracy is the main focus.. BORING!!

To be honest I only bought my Cobra because I wanted to try and get PSP homebrew running on my PS3.. didnt work as the PSP emu is rather lacking compared to the Vita.

You could try the new Android PSP Emulator, it can be ported to the PS3, perhaps when it is worked on more, it will be better than what is in the PS3.

Does any CFW play PSX/PS2/PSP/PS3 ISo files?
Does any CFW play PS2 disks without region lock?

No it doesn´t, Cobra does. PEople pays but get what others don´t have.

I have a lot of respect for thw free CFW, but the people that make them only want it to play PS3 backups nothin more, that why they don´t implement the things i say before, and put PS2 emulation for all ps3.

Todays PS2 Games from PSN all run a emulator for ps3, so that can´t be so dificult to do.
