Need some help unbricking a CECHG
Hello all,
i need some help unbricking my PS3. This is what i've done to brick my PS3: - I've converted my console to DEX some weeks ago. Now i wanted to go back to CEX. To do this i've downgraded to 3.55DEX. Then i've put the console in FSM (with FactoryServiceMode.pkg) and restored my CEX dump with Jaicrab Preloader. Then still in FSM reinstalled Rogeros 3.55 CFW with LV2Diag.self. Then exited FSM, QA flagged the console and installed Kmeaw 3.55 from Recovery menu. At this point the console worked fine except that Blu-Rays does not work because dev_flash3 was empty. Then i thought that the files are still in my CEX Dump. So i startet FSM again, reflashed my CEX Dump. Rebooted the console without USB Stick and the console started and was still in FSM. So i thought that the NAND seems to work and exited FSM with Lv2diag_exit.self. Now the console YLODs. I've read that i could enter FSM again (since this seemed to work) with an FSM Dongle. I've tried PSGrade on my OpenKubus and PS3Jig for the PSP but the console YLODs every time. If i've could enter FSM again i could reinstall the firmware. Is there any chance to unbrick the console without an Hardware Flasher? |

I've seen that kind of answer elsewhere, anyone that knows about this problem and confirm this as the solution, please say so. We need to know if with an hardware flasher (buying one as some of us do not own one) the problem is solved and if it's the only way...

I've just bought an Hardware-Flasher and trying to fix it.
The dumping is slow (because you have to ensure your dump is correct you have to dump multiple times). I should have the complete dump tonight and will try to get it working again. As i said i have some help from two members of a german forum. If i get it working i will post a tutorial. |

The console is working again.
This are the steps i'v done: 1. Bought Hardware-Flasher (Progskeet) 2. Dumped NAND multiple times 3. Extracted Dump with Flowrebuilder, everything seems to be fine 4. Patched Dump with FlowRebuilder 5. Flashed back the patched dump to the console 6. Startet with Factory Service Mode Dongle 7. Reinstalled 3.55 Firmware 8. Exited Factory Service Mode 9. Console is working again So you need two Hardware Tools. 1st the flasher and second any FSM Dongle (PSP, PSGrade etc.) |
