Ok, after spending my money on a little piece of sh*t programer , i run to installed it on mine PS3 JTP-001 motherboard (it has a NOR Spansion 128P chip).I followed all the advices i found from many wise users on many forums.

Im a modchipper from the time of PSX (i ´ve done WII´s, PS2 lost the count, xbox x-cuters, RGH on any 360, etcc..)so i was very excited to get my hands in this beautiful little piece .

Thats when i found that PROGSKEET 1.2 can only READ NOR Spansion, yes that´s it, i´ve readed 5 fine backups but Writing it back IS AN IMPOSSIBLe MISSION.Verified allways Failed .So i think it could be some minor error i was doing but when i spend almost 48h reading all the pages in the internet that have the keyword PROGSKEET 1.2 i foun out that no one could ever WRITE back successefully any dump with progskeet 1.2 (not the 1.0 or 1.1).

I also agree the new progskeet sucks, But Spansion NOR always have Verification problems.

You should try to write the FW on different methods ( USB timing ..)

From what I read the ProgSkeet v1.2 Bitstream is still being developed I think.

Might have to give the developers a bit of time then to catch up with your needs? Having said that though (and if this is indeed the case), releasing a half-finished product will be guaranteed to nark many people off.

hi guy ...i need a little help..my system(both window 7 and windows xp) are unable to see or update my progskeet v1.2 via the injectus. it saw it once but the update was not succesful. now when i connect the injectus and the progskeet v1.2 with fcc cable to the system..the system does not respond at all,,,what should i do pls?

really ? these settings not working, cuz i cant write the dump back using 1.2 too, but with 1.1 i can.

Of course you do.Can you please show us a video on youtube with your progskeet 1.2 version writing in an Spansion 128P, if you even know what that is?

I bet you dont.I know what you are thinking, this guy is a noobie, shure is his problem and not the unfinished project progskeet 1.2 .So guess what, just because im a noobie in this forum dosent mean anything.I installed far many chip all my life them you will ever dream on.And i´m also Moderator on GSMPT.NET on the Consoles forum.

So lets see, i ´ve tryed:

2 diffrent machines (both with WIN xp, the recommended SO for Progskeet 1.2)
All Progrskeet programing Software (Progskeet, winskeet, Flasher, etc...)
All combination possible:


-USB timing
-Single Word
75% then verify failed

-Write buffered
-Single word
at 75% freeze

-static time
-single word
random freeze


Etc, etc, etc.....


Allready try with ZADIG usb drivers, with USB drivers and the resault is allways the same result (or freeze at some parts or 75% and verify failed)


Modify the bitstream, thinking that must be some inovation error, but all the 3 available bitstream for the progskeet 1.2 didnt make the change, still cant write it back to the NOR.

Tryed with the WP# connected to +3.3v on PS3 MB for removing Write protection and without it connected, but nothing.

I herad some people talking about some wird connection between the RDY and another point with one 10k resistor but i think it is for progskeet 1.1 and not the 1.2 version.

i removed all instalation for 3 times and did it again and still cant write it back.I will try to post some instalation images later.Im at work now.Last instalation was with 3cm lenght kynar professional modchip wire, with special strong cable on the 2 point 3.3v and 2 points GRD points.


i can just give up

@v.s@ the only option u have here now to unrick your ps3 , is getting 1.1 version or E3 flasher.

Well you are all grown up , you all knew a f*ckin progskeet is nothing with warranty. Its some cheap ass flasher from some cheap ass chinese factory.
You broke your ****, bad luck.
