try and take them with a pinch of salt as i know a few posters on there that have said their on ofw but the truth remains there actually on cfw but dont feel the need to make it public info on their site

if we get an official update in the next few days id say ur right regarding this

but that doesnt explain certain checks that are preformed during boot and all the press releases regarding bans and sonys promise to clean up psn

If you call activision support in the U.S.---800-225-6588 you will be greated with an automated message saying that "we are aware of ingame connectivity issues and are working to fix them, thank you for your patience".

Also if you try to reach a real person you will get the message "due to high call volume, the call center is closed today, please try your call again tommorrow."

Ok, having just picked up my copy of BLOPS2, I want to try a coup[le of things, but dont want to screw up my OFW ps3!!

Could somebody who has tried, and not guessing, please confirm the following for me?

I know running the game on CFW from disc still doesnt work from my PSN account.

My questions please

Does / Doesnt work on CFW from new PSN account on disc? (pretty sure it doesnt, but its worth asking)

Does / Doesnt work on OFW machine using PSN account from CFW machine?

If the above is tested, ie, genuine copy, OFW, banned PSN account, does it the ban that console too, or allow a new account to go online after?

Thanks

It's a ban from black ops 2 servers. Not some filter or something else. so don't play bo2 online on cfw unless your willing to get Mac & user ban from that game

Both my cfw and ofw systems are on the same network. accounts used on cfw get server not available message others connect fine on ofw. therefore not ip range ban?

David Vonderhaar ‏ @David Vonderhaar

Pushing a small update. Hardpoint score limit increased. Season Pass availability from in-game Store. 20.130.15 is your MP ver #.

If you boot the game (you dont have to login to psn) go to the multiplayer proportion of the game go to option then push SELECT please feed this info back here

Vers Numb: 27(20.0.-1.1452910)
Connectivity info: A---E----
Nat: Open
Ip Range: Ext-Int
Geo Region: gb

also if you change mac and manage to logon check this and feed it back then when ur boot check and refeed

im guessing there using push/pull to send packets of data and that's how their spotting us if the returing packet doesnt match with what they have on there server files we get flagged and version changed meaning we cant log

id go as far to say that its prob not even mac address there prob using basic ip range and psn username bans as proxying through west coast worked for me a number of hours ago

People I have a solution

How long it works for I do not know

You need to change your IP address of the ps3 and I'm using a proxy just to be sure with a new psn account

Played 15 mins no problems yet
