They are tiny and they are specific resolutions, they are probably just image files, nothing important.

They're to small for non-thumbnail image files to make sense, especially if their names indicate anything about their resolution. I'd guess that they're thumbnails or or startup info based on screen res. Either way, you're right, nothing of import.

Like I said, it might work, but dont hold your breath, I'm sure there is some other reason we dont know about yet as to why some fixes work and some dont... you could ask @baargle to look into signing an update file for you, he is the master of signing requested updates... if there is one for starhawk

StarHawk isn't working because there are sprx\sdat\self files that need resigning in the .psarc compressed archive files. The game's main bulk of space is in .psarc files.

I have no way to prove this and it's just what I feel is the situation, as I can't seem to extract the damn things with available tools, maybe a new version of psarc and tools haven't been updated.

I don't think the problem is the eboot etc.

Good thinking @baargle , I agree with your logic, it makes sense.

Havent had to deal with psarc's since KZ3 / UC3..

Does the game have an update? and does the update contain a psarc? If it has an update that doesnt have a psarc inside would the update be fixable, and would it work without psarc being modded from 1.00 backup directory

I dont have the game to test.

Must be a reason why there isnt a fix yet, so I wont promise that it will work at all.

The reason I believe the game contains certain files in the eboot that can not be patched by any non scene group and it seems duplex are having problems patching the game for 3.55. dead or alive took longer then normal as well i think the game also has the same security

Give it a try

original eboot.bin 15.4mb
modified eboot.bin 6.87mb

param.sfo modded to 3.40

EDIT:

I have a feeling it still probably wont work, as games like sports champions 2 can be "fixed" the same way but it hangs at the loading screen... so there is something we still need to fix to make it work properly.

So after I changed the eboot and param with the one you gave me , the game started and it installed itself successfully , then in the ((loading screen when the game have to go to the start menu screen )) it freeze the ps3 ... I tried the game from external HDD

@baargle

any idea ...
