If you don't already know the advantages to DEX, then I guarantee you don't need it. This is mainly for people (like me) who are already on DEX and wanted a CFW for it. We could upgrade before, but we had to downgrade first, seemingly a risky process for NAND (Old model) PS3 owners even if instructions are properly followed. Then we could upgrade to the newer CFW's but wouldn't have any of our DEX options (until REX showed up.) Also, there are CFW out there already with no need for a spoofer as of yet.

As stated in the quote above:

"If you don't already know the advantages to DEX, then I guarantee you don't need it."

I assume you want to play backups and run homebrew. If so, then the new CFW is all you need and a lot easier to install for the average CFW user.

Ok,im gonna ask this question again in more detail.And im not some dumb noob,i been on the sceene for 4 years now and develop roms for android.I just havent found any good answeres on DEX machine options.

Are you a developer?No.So why do you need DEX?Most people that converted to DEX are not developers,so why did they do it?There must be some advantage and usefull options for avarage user.
I know that PS2 games can be played on DEX but not on CEX.PS3hax just had an article about playing PS2 games on DEX machine.

So once again without me being treated like a dummy,what DEX machine has to offer for us avarage users?Only PS2 emulation or is there something else usefull?

You don't know if I'm a dev or not. I'm not, but don't assume. I converted to be able to have Borderlands 2 on a hard drive. With the new CFW, there isn't much use to the average user other than it seems to be a lot more stable than the current CFW out. It's a bit of a pain to convert to DEX and also to go back to CEX.

the amount of games that do work is very slim . out of all my ps2 games ,ive got " over 30" none of them work properly .

DEX was released before we had CFW 4.21 so a lot of us went DEX because it was the only solution than. Now with all new CFW's DEX isn't really needed anymore. But as converting back to CEX has a risk I for example keep my DEX PS3 on DEX. Also with the knowledge $ony doesn't like it at all
(I also own a CEX with CFW 3.55 FYI)
