Thanks for the help guys. I'm gonna take it tomorrow to get it checked and replaced. How much would a hdmi port replacement cost, I don't wanna get ripped off...

I hate to point out the obvious, but have you tried a new hdmi cord. Cords are more likely to go bad before a port goes bad.
Just saying, should check that before replacing something so difficult.

Try using your regular audio video cables and see if it shows.

What would that prove? He gets 480p just fine and the regular cables won't even show that.

Actually nothing, but something just to see if the AV port is fine on the console.
