Now the game won't boot at all for me on my new account. Shows the 3D screen then goes back to the XMB. Very strange. It does this even when it's offline.

EDIT: It'll boot when on PSN but it's freezing again... Lame.

It works. Prevous accounts that tried it before release don't, for some strange reason.

I still stand by the belief that no ban has been issued yet.

The only bans Treyarch ever did in Black Ops 1 were console bans. They banned the cheaters entirely and they told them they were banned. And after that you weren't able to create a new account to get back online.

This sounds like an inconvenient coincidence to me.

Something is definetly preventing the old accounts playing online. Because new accounts play online no problem. So it's nothing console related, just account. I believe Treyarch put out temporary bans, and the bans will be lifted when new map pack comes out. I've played almost 2h with new account on CFW, no problem... Level 10 atm...

My new account is now freezing.

Seems to work if I don't sign in until I'm on the multiplayer mode for now...

Mine has done that too. I'm not sure what exactly fixed it but what I've done to rememdy it reboot the system and go into multiman, then I unplug the external for about a minute and plug it back in. Then I wait till the games show up and launch it. This usually fixes that booting back to XMB. Except for the freezing part. Mine doesn't do that.

Delete all game data of BOps2, even the update. Dont be signed into PSN. Boot the game using BD Mirror, don't download update on first boot. Let the game throught to the menu. Exit the game. Boot the game again, download and install update. In BOps2 menu go to Multiplayer. When in MP menu sign in with the new PSN account. Play the game

Worked for me when I had freezes.

Your post was making sense, until you said "and the bans will be lifted when new map pack comes out".

Don't be retarded. The game has barely gotten off the ground. It has **** all to do with DLC.

It's all to do with PSN accounts which got an early head start is my guess.

EDIT:

And stop ****ing loading the game while signed in! The game does not freeze if you don't start the game while signed in. Wait for the fkn prompt!

Is this true even for the old accounts?

I've been able to load the game while signed in all day with no problems. Although, just to be smart I wouldn't try it the first time

I'm talking about starting the game while signed in, that will cause your PS3 to lock up!!! Jesus! The amount of people that interpret something into something else is ****ing unreal.
