No future console will be hacked IMO.

PS3 and 360 were the very first attempts at using encryption and efuses on any console for DRM. They have learned a lot in the past 6 years

I hope I am wrong but 3DS is still not hacked, and usually Nintendo stuff gets hacked the quickest and easiest (GC being an exception due to special discs).

It's a lot easier to break through security than it is to secure something. This has always been the case.

it still has a bluraydrive, so they could create a detection mechanism which let's you play your original owned ps3 games through gaikai. also maybe they'll make gaikai a gaming service like netflix is for movies and series, an all-you-can-eat principle....

I dont know if anyone knows anything really about the ps4. All I know is that if it doesnt operate jointly on the PSN/SEN then I will not be getting it, at least not for a long long time. Spent way too much money on PSN/PS3 and now Vita/PSP that it is not worth starting over. Im sure Im not the only one too.

why should they search for reverse engeneers for the ps2 emulation?
and why did they say that they will use the blu ray for the ps3. there are much more new technologies which they could use for the ps4.

i beg 10dollar that this is a false news and the ps4 will have full ps2 and ps3 backward compatiblity.

i think the same .. , the future consoles are not hackable any more .
but i hope im wrong. two friends from me are specialist in this field and can work with the devkits xbox/orbis and say that online/DRM it is unhackable.
