how long u waited here??! each "blue" led takes arround 1min for each to complete..total arround 8min to restore!

i press the power switch without waitng..when i turn on ps3 again.. all grenn lights in the down position lit up while at the same time red light to the far right lits up.. after 4 led lights lit up but doesnt alternate withe the other four blue led's.. then ps3 shuts down.. i press power but it does the same thing over again..

while u did the restore (needs patched bkpps3.bin for 355-downgrade) and shutdown the ps3 while doing that, it first "erases" the NOR and then "writes" the "bkpps3.bin" present on SDCard, so it kinda got messed up powering of the console

atleast ur "original" backup is valid&complete, if u can try to have the PS3 to stay ON using Flashfun(1UP-rest down) then restore the patched dump

this(flashfun without solder the Tristate > SBE wire) not sure it wil work, if the PS3 goes OFF...u'll need to solder that wire or if ur brave tape a wire down from Tristate to any GND point on MB, that also works but not recommended and make totally sure u have wire 100% down on the points(tested and working)....do at ur own risk..atleast it works if nobody arround can solder :P

btw.... for anyone reading.....E3 talks about a new update where one don't need to solder for unbrick+flashfun, guess that one is either not yet released? or that "dual boot" update.bin

i waited like less than a minute.. following bailey's tutorial whan i suddenly watched khaeldons video ( after he dumped he restored again) thinking i would make sure of the the dump if it restores.. but maybe i interrupted the process thought it was just not responding or an error of some sort..

khaeldons video+the restore confusion...restoring the original dump after dumping it while trying to downgrade doens't make sense and not required! a "patched" backup instead yes and skipping the step3 "e3_downgrade.bin" after that bcuse u already "restored" a patched 355 backup, for now can't help u much more, if the PS3 doesn't stay on with flip switch Flashfun, u must solder the Tristate wire to have the PS3 to stay ON, then either for debricking now u can "restore -- 1UP-rest down" either the original dump cuseu bricked on OFW 4.21(dump is that) or "restore" a patched e3 backup and then proceed as normal

goodluck on fix

PS3 is operating NOR, E3 Flasher cannot operate at the same time
Check toggle switch - wrong setting

it can also mean that u have to wait a little longer before pressing "start" button.!!

to get this clear and assuming u have the E3clip fitted 100% what is the PS3 doing, does it goes off with triple beep like RLOD after boot up or does the PS3 stay on, cuse if it stays on u can simply reflash the backup like it is, the PS3 should boot properly after that, if it WONT stay ON u must solder the Triste>SBE wire for the PS3 to stay on and then to flash/restore the original set the switches: 1UP-2/6 DOWN

MAKE SURE the clip is fitted 100%!! so once u have the PS3 to stay ON, first REDUMP a couple times making sure u get constant valid dumps first
then u can safely "restore"

since u bricked on the OFW dump, i think trying to "erase/restore" and shutting down(be patient..i know its difficult ) reflashing the OFW dump should work as normal, ofcourse u can skip all this and just patch the original dump with 355 coreos

that goes like:

if ps3 stay on, just reflash in XMB but wait a couple minutes... with all switches DOWN

restore patched dump
shutdown PS3 with front button as normal
flip switch6 UP - 1/5 DOWN
boot PS3 normal
u should get the "connect controller screen"
pull the power at the back
insert FSM dongle
replug power at the back
trigger FSM(power+eject)
follow the rest of the downgrade using Rogero's nocheck PUPs

if u needed FLASHFUN and the tristate>sbe wire for redump/restore, after restoring the patched dump, shutdown the PS3 normally like above steps and flip switch 1 DOWN/2/5 down - 6UP..same as above for final firmware install

if ur using a tristate/gnd wire, remove the wire after redump/restore and follow same steps.

hope u have enough info to get it running, once again dump is fine, take ur time....once again make sure ALL IS FITTED correctly before any restoring..thats why u have to redump it xx times before writing anything back

it doesnt stay on.. so i guess i have to solder to tristate.. once soldered and i get the ps3 to turn on.. will i immediately use the bkpps3.bin that you patched for me? after flashing that will i be on 3.55 already? is it ok to leave the sbe tristate solder after soldering.. or do i have to remove it after successfully powering on the ps3..
