Updating to 4.30 CFW
I am on Kmeaw 3.55 with Rebug Spoofer 4.00 and I am looking to update to Rogero 4.30.
Can I uninstall the spoofer and go from Kmeaw 3.55 > QA Toggle > Rogero 4.30. Or should I go from Kmeaw 3.55 > OFW 3.55 > Rogero 4.30. Second question is when updating do my games on HDD get deleted? If yes is there a way of preventing this? Thanks |

All the data is stored on the HDD. When you flash the firmware it flashes the NAND/NOR chip if I am not mistaken. Think of this as dedicated storage for the Playstation firmware / "software" only. So that is all which should be modified hence your data is safe provided all goes well with the upgrade
![]() Anyone please correct me if this is incorrect. |

Well NAND = 256mb, so probably all in the NAND, but I'm not 100% sure if they spread it across the hdd and memory in some sort of AP protection.
I have never looked into this.
