You need someone on 4.x CFW to run the sdat tool PKG, and dump them for you decrypted, then try run them through oakhead69's SDAT PC tool, to re-encrypt them for 3.55.

IDK if anyone has tried it yet, or whether the EBOOT it self also has more protection checks on it that need removing too

I was going to move to rogero cfw 4.xx but i couldnt update for some reason, following itskamels tut religously but i dunno i just couldnt do it, ps3 said it couldnt see the update file on my usb. maybe since i tried kmeaw straight to rogero, maybe i need to go to ofw first then to rogero cfw.

anyways, cuz if nba 2k13 and these new games with edat protected files work fine on cfw 4.xx then im moving to it. which is the stablest cfw in your opinion? i fracking love my kmeaw 3.55 because of its rock hard stability. *no homo

I have my loyalties drilled firmly into my CFW KMEAW machine (no homo) for now, but if I did update it would be to REX 4.21.

Can you use rebug 999 downgrader to get back to OFW 3.55, then QA flag, then update to rogero 3.7 then to 4.30/rex 4.21?

Do I have to downgrade using rebug 999 in order to get to ofw 3.55? Does this mean i have to go to ofw 4.XX first, then downgrade to ofw 3.55 then go to rebug cfw 4.xx?

I thought you could use rebug downgrader to downgrade ANY CFW to any FW depending on your minimum praxis.

INSTALL: From XMB install ’999′ DOWNGRADER over any firmware version CFW/MFW with spkg sig check patched on a PS3 with or without QA enabled. UNINSTALL/DEHASH: REQUIRES PS3 TO BE QA ENABLED From XMB ’999′ DOWNGRADER can be uninstalled/dehashed with the REBUG 3.55.3 REX EDITION or from Recovery Mode with any other 3.55 OFW/CFW/MFW.

so i cant go straight from kmeaw to rebug? i also heard it was always better to be on ofw before upgrading to cfw but just wondering. :/

I would go: QA flag , dehash (recovery OFW 3.55), then go from there.

Probably a long way round, but... yeah.
