You're right, you won't be able to downgrade your 3001A with E3 flasher.

Dont think it matters. Just the flasher thats poorly made. As long as you get the clip on right

No... Your model is either supported or not, if it IS supported and you manage to do everything right, it will work.
If it's not supported, nothing (apart from updates) will increase your chances.

The flasher isn't really poorly made, It's just that those chips aren't designed to have stuff clipped on. The reason fail rate is so high is mostly E3 team named their guide "relegation flow", (i would never have guessed that that was a guide), and they forgot to mention some "little" facts, like that you need a dongle and TF card, so people are forced to spend more money or experiment....

any solutions to your problem yet?.. my ps3 does the exact same thing.. made a dump.. after doing that tried restoring that exact dump to the ps3.. thought the ps3 was not responding.. i pressed the power button.. and kaboom.. ps3 turns off by itself when i power it on.. don know if flashing the original dump was bad or if all went well its just that i interrupted the ps3 while flashing..
