downgrade gone bad? - PS3Hax Network

Hi,

I was working on a ps3 phat downgrade. Was able to flash the dump.patch. Got the console in service mode to install the necessary files. Got in out of service mode. And it started so I could rebuild the console.
It was on 4.11. Installed and I ran toggle_qa. I got a black screen so I turned of the ps3.
Thought maybe I need to remarry the drive.
Turned the console in recovery menu to install ofw 3.55. Looked like it went fine. But now the console won't boot. After about 6 sec. I get a red light and that will keep blinking.
Not sure if I maybe missed something

Any help is appreciated!

If toggle Qa flag gave you a black screen, why did you install OFW 3.55?

You bricked because you did not dehash the syscon checks.

Don't know about how you bricked your console. But brick can happen at any time, even if you miss one step, your console will brick

You used E3 or progskeet ?

In the guide it says if you get a black screen you should try to remarry the drive. In the readme of remarry it says you need to be on owf to remarry. That is why I tried to install owf 3.55.
What should I have done?
I used progskeet (soldered) to dump and flash the ps3 (NOR).
I assume the console is dead now?

Reflash the patched dump and downgrade again.

Then when you rebuild your console, make sure to all the ribbons and cables are plugged in good.
If you still get a black screen with homebrew, then remarry on Rogero v3.7.

The toggle qa flag has to black screen, beep 3 times, and reboot the ps3. Then check with the button combo to make sure qa flag is set on.
Then install OFW 3.55 from recovery, and install any cfw from xmb or recovery after that.

Not sure if it was because of the drive. But before I started this all, the drive wouldn't read any discs. Also placed a new laser. You could hear the disc spinning and no strange noises. Everything sounds good, but it just won't show up.

You will most likely have to remarry the drive or replace the logic board and remmary the new one.
Or it could be one of the ribbons are not seated properly, or is damaged.

You don't have to be on ofw to remarry. Rogero will be fine.

I installed the progskeet again and flashed the console.
Now it boots again. But it is already in 3.55? Is that because I installed owf 3.55 before it went wrong? To be clear, I didn't put the console in service mode again and install the necessary pup file. Or do I need to do that again?

Toggle qa app was still on the console. So I ran it again. No beeps, just black screen. That means I need to remarry the drive? Button combo doesn't do anything.

I downloaded Rogero CFW 3.55 V3.7 (V3.7A.PUP). But can I install it now without getting a semi-brick again?
