hi , pls i used this , and i updated my ps via usb (storage media) from 4.31 , but when this cfw was innstalled , my ps restarted without making any sound and turning to red light , and then said that " The latest version of the system software is already installed. There is no need to update. " then after few seconds , it turned off , but when i turned it on it said something like that i the last update cannot be finished , so i tryed it again and again , but with same results . I tried do it by recovery mod , but it said that file is coruppted and som error message ... pls help me , should i do it from 3.55 , or what have i do?

Yes, I think you should be on 3.55 as a base as I'm convinced this is a hybrid 3.55/4.30 CFW anyways. Try 3.55 first.

yup , pls and its possible to downgrade from 4.31 , and if , than do i need Eflasher or something like that , or how can i downgrade it ? ... or is some other 4.31 cfw , i can use ?

If you're on OFW then you most definitely need a flasher. Also, you need to know if your model is even capable of being downgraded. What model do you have?

60gb , fat , cechcxx ... but i dont know if im on ofw or cfw , cuz i was on 3.55 kmaew cfw , and uploaded to probably 4.31 ofw , than i download cfw 4.31 from ps3jail.com , installed it by recovery mod , everything went fine , but i dont know if its realy on cfw , i have no multiman installed cuz of install package files missing , and didnt try any backup game .

Go under your system settings and look at your system info. It will tell you. I hope you didn't install OFW. You should have followed a tut from here. Good news is that your system is old enough to be downgraded. If you're on CFW you should at least have the app/home/ and install package icons under your game XMB.

it showes just " version 4.31 " and no install package folder , so its probably on OFW :/ what should i do ? when i restore ps3 system , wont it be on 3.55 or 3.4x OFW ?

I recommend getting a flasher. I'm not really sure how you did that one unless you downloaded OFW. I think you can downgrade it to the stock firmware it came with. But I'm not sure because I've never had to use a flasher.

how can it be called cfw 4.31.1 ? when it 4.30 with a 4.31 spoofer .

eg when cfw 3.55 has got a 4.30 spoofer ,its not a 4.30 cfw its still 3.55 cfw
