Funny, Ninty do a fair bit of copy them selves. They don't always innovate like NINTY FANBOYS believe.

Strawman argument....

Exactly what have Microsoft or Sony copied? The wii motion control may have giving them ideas, but each company came up with their own innovations. Sony in fact had their motion controls before Nintendo ever did when they released games for the eye toy. It's ridiculous to suggest that Nintendo is the only one to could up with innovations.

Do me a favour dude, stop listening Lil Wayne, its melting your brain
They care WAY more about their newcomers that probably buy one video game a year than the people that are willing to invest in CORE gaming experiences. All of the women and children that thought Wii Fit and Wii Sports were AAA experiences -- I literally stopped typing to laugh -- aren't what brought Nintendo where they are today. Nintendo needs to give back to the hardcore gamer...

Instead of giving back to the hardcore gamers they are taking things away. Killing off Nintendo Power Magazine and their Power hotline to name a few.

You've misunderstood...I pretty much only buy consoles for their exclusive games and/or unique gameplay regarding the hardware (Wii, Wii U, Kinect etc)...multiplats? That's what my gaming PC is for or even 360 for LIVE. Note I said exclusives, that doesn't necessarily mean games Nintendo make for a Nintendo system.

An example is for myself personally (and many others) when I bought an N64 I not only bought it for the Nintendo games but for what most consider the greatest wrestling games of all time that were only available on the N64...that has nothing to do with Mario or Nintendo first party.

Ironically, it is "the flow" that copies most of Nintendo's innovations. Hint: Look at console and video game progression since the NES' release up until now.

Also, do you mean they refuse to adopt and prioritize the conventional controller designs that they created in 1990? Yeah, that makes sense.

We could go way back I suppose. Considering Sony got their start in the gaming business when they were hired by Nintendo to work on a CD-ROM gaming platform for them. Instead Sony took the inside info they learned from Nintendo and flew the coop. Nintendo was forced to release the Super Nintendo instead of a ROM system like they wanted. Sony later released the PSX which was originally supposed to be NES system. They stole the Super Nintendo controller design as well. As for your theory that Sony had motions controls before Nintendo is untrue. They make that claim off the patents for that stupid eye toy thing they had. Nintendo had the motion controls first. Now Sony has a three piece "move" system that is identical to Nintendo's three piece system with no patents to it prior to the Wiimote patents. The PS2 was nothing but a super charged Dreamcast with DVD playback added to it. The PS3 is more of the same with bluray added to it. PSN is Sony's adaptation of LIVE. The only thing I can think of that Sony innovated was backwards compatibility...then again, Gameboy Advance did that first. So you tell me, where is Sony's innovations?

I can't believe how nobody see's the importance of getting casual gamers into the market. As Sony and Microsoft will tell you, those casual gamers eventually become hardcore gamers. Gaming would have died in the early 80's if it weren't for Nintendo. When they initially released the Nintendo in the US it was a failure. What did Nintendo do? They brought something called "Rob the Robot" to the market. They repackaged the NES as a Robot Entertainment system instead of a gaming system. After that consoles started flying off the shelves.

Of course, Sony and Microsoft loves to leave the responsibility of bringing casual gamers to the market to Nintendo. They'll just steal their innovations in the meantime and they'll inherit the gamers the next generation.

Nice revisionist history except that's not what happened. Sony was hired to create a cdrom add-on and after spending all the money to develop the technology Nintendo reneged on the agreement.

That's exactly what I mean and that's exactly what they're doing! Look at the Wii U controller and then look at the standardized console controller scheme. I don't give a good God damn if they created it in 1990. If they didn't, then somebody else would have. That's so irrelevant.
