Sony later released the PSX which was originally supposed to be NES system. They stole the Super Nintendo controller design as well. As for your theory that Sony had motions controls before Nintendo is untrue. They make that claim off the patents for that stupid eye toy thing they had. Nintendo had the motion controls first. Now Sony has a three piece "move" system that is identical to Nintendo's three piece system with no patents to it prior to the Wiimote patents. The PS2 was nothing but a super charged Dreamcast with DVD playback added to it. The PS3 is more of the same with bluray added to it. PSN is Sony's adaptation of LIVE. The only thing I can think of that Sony innovated was backwards compatibility...then again, Gameboy Advance did that first. So you tell me, where is Sony's innovations?

I can't believe how nobody see's the importance of getting casual gamers into the market. As Sony and Microsoft will tell you, those casual gamers eventually become hardcore gamers. Gaming would have died in the early 80's if it weren't for Nintendo. When they initially released the Nintendo in the US it was a failure. What did Nintendo do? They brought something called "Rob the Robot" to the market. They repackaged the NES as a Robot Entertainment system instead of a gaming system. After that consoles started flying off the shelves.

Of course, Sony and Microsoft loves to leave the responsibility of bring casual gamers to the market to Nintendo. They'll just steal their innovations in the meantime and they'll inherit the gamers the next generation.
Your wrong, NiNTY basically stabbed Sony in the back over the SNES CDROM deal(but it ended great as PLAYSTATION was born and the rest is history).

SONY's MOVE TECH existed way before Wiimote, do some research on YOUTUBE. Sony had been working on MOTION CONTROLLERS for 10 years prior to Wiimote. Ther are plenty of vids of working prototypes of Sony motion controllers(which ended up been MOVE). Look for yourself.

I'm actually a Bandai fanboy, but here you go.... my Nintendo collection:

Note: I added some pieces lately so the picture is not complete.....

Don't you love the innovative early small LCD gaming screens with backlight
(the Panorama screens and table tops)

Edit: it took the rest of the world over 20 years to make a normal TV out if it

They worked on the eye toy in 2001. The Eye toy is NOT "move". They started in move in 2008. Here's a quote from wiki(I don't need youtube) "In 2008 Sony began work on developing a commercial product, integrating inertial sensors into the motion controller, and refining the device from an engineering and a design perspective.[17]".

...hmmm, the Wii came out in 2006. What does that tell you? I understand that you are fan boys and I might as well be talking to a wall.

Do some research on wiki: the first motion controller was made by Atari and was called the Atari Mindlink for the Atari 2600

Wow am I really seeing Nintendo hate? Everyone knows by now specs isnt what makes a good system. If we went by specs then the original xbox was far superior to the PS2....yet somehow the PS2 was still the better console.... over a 120 million ps2s sold as opposed to less than 30 million Xbox 1s being sold.

Specs dont mean **** in the home console market.

So Nintendo stabbed sony in the back.... the way I understand it was Sony tried to rape Nintendo on royalties over using the CD format.....

nintendo hardware never stays in good terms with third party developers,it is designed for fans and mostly for first party gaming titles like mario, pikmin, etc,i think they wanted to try something different and attract hardcore gamers with games like darksiders 2 batman and some others but the thing is the nintendo system ins not for this,at least that is what i think,i am Microsoft fan i wont deny that, xbox 360 is my favorit and best gaming system i ever had,i am sure the next xbox will be something fantastic, and now back to topic the reality is the nintendo system is made for casual gamers who just want to play mario or whatever games there are that wont give you headache, and for people who want dark souls/demon souls type of games go with the microsoft and sony products

Xbox fanboy....break out the torch and pitchforks j/k

I love my 360, but 360 exclusives get murdered by Sony exclusives, and Nintendo has the classic "everyone knows about them" exclusives. I like my 360 because of what I have done to it. If I didnt have a tri nand trinity with LT 3.0 I probably wouldnt like it as much. It is a great console and you are helping me prove my point about fanboyism being wrong regardless of what site. The 360 is great and I am glad we can both say that, but so is the PS3, and so is the Wii/Wii U.

You say nintendo consoles are for casual gamers and this is one of that console's strengths. The wii is also the best homebrew box this generation. So Nintendo has classics and great homebrew, PS3 has awesome 1st party titles and a free network and IMO graphically superior and it has DTS HD, the 360 has a great controller, a much better online service (even if it is a subscription based service) and has many features I was hoping would make it to the ps3 (like in gmae music for every game, and the party system)

Don't give me that crap. I hated it when my teachers would tell me that too. Wikipedia is a reliable source 99% of the time.
