No need for the sarcasm. I have been on 3.55 waiting for a stable release and everything I have read has required a downgrade so just wanted to make sure. Better to get it out there now before the question is repeated on here

If you are on 3.55 why on Earth would you need a downgrade? Try going to the source and reading the thread there..... 99% of user bricks are from people failing to read. Also there has been a stable Firmware.... rebug 4.21 rex is stable and it came out before this..... seriously go read that thread at the source.

Having the Install Package Icon on XMB in previous versions was the main cause for all the issues, newer CFWs 4.30+ may always be like this using the new developed method to install packages which does not rely on DEX/Kiosk FW files to have the Install Packages ability.

- Installing Package Files can be done from multiMAN 04.12.00 (XMMB Home column or MMOS File Manager).
how can you install MM if there's no install package to install? |

I've done a few risky things with this CFW and amazingly no brick on my slim.
I was 3.55 didn't Q/A flag to 4.30 v1.04 and flashed from XMB not recovery, with no brick. (Reason being petiboot, more complex than that, but w/e.) I wanted to upgrade to v2, but going from 1.04 resulted in corrupted data. I grabbed Rogero 4.25-3.55 installed from recovery menu. Grabbed Rogero 3.55 v 3.7 installed from recovery menu. Installed Multi man and Showtime, so that I could install something later ![]() Recovery menu 4.30 v2 - Worked like a charm. To all n00bies, yes it will delete your data, so backup! This version is significantly faster from my own test its 20-30% faster than 1.04. I never upgraded to 1.07-1.09, but I know for fact it feels nice. Full XMB from multiman is nice, BD mirror and Direct Disc Access is beautiful. Can't wait to install my emulator and homebrew and start messing around. All in all, I appreciate the hardwork, and I'm very pleased to support this CFW. |
