Well, if you accidentally delete multiMAN, then you'll end up wasting 45mins just to reinstall multiMAN by downgrading and re-upgrading firmware - not very practical now, is it?

What data are you referring to? Because it shouldn't have deleted anything unless you chose Restore PS3 system from recovery menu. I have done this many times already and my data is still intact.

N.B: You must have multiMAN version 04.12.00 installed on the PS3 before updating to CFW4.30 v2.00 or you won't be able to install Package files until you downgrade again to version 3.55 and Install multiMAN 04.12.00

Isn't there a home brew pkg that we install via MM so we keep the download Mm icon in xmb so when something happens to MM we could get it back.
Or can we install XMB Manager Plus. I used it on rogero 4.30 v1.04 and worked like a charm. It has the install package function and all.

I let my 5 year old play with the ps3 too... Lol. Hopefully with the next multiman update Dean removes the delete option.

how can you install MM if there's no install package to install?
Look above, in case you have not realized it yet......

We also use it when installing newer versions of most of the various packages (Only multiman I can think of that has an internal update function).
Also, perhaps the most used install package reason besides for installing the 3-4-5 mandatory apps: For installing PSN Games.

A good question actually, I have never looked at XMB Manager Plus or the Rebug toolbox, so I don't know what functionality they have, and if they are useful here. Good question.

Thanks for this Rogero

Rogero, great work man. Just finished installing and I have to say, this is the quickest, lightest, most legit cfw of the bunch. Thanks.
