New multiman and PSX ISO's?

Hi all,

Have not been able to find the info I have been looking for - so decided to create a thread and hopefully someone can help me out.

With the new Multiman is it possible to run backed up PS1 ISO's off the internal drive on the PS3?
If so, where do I need to place the .ISO files? What is the directory path?

Thanks,
Psy

An educated guess would be in a PSXISO folder on the root of the internal drive.

* ISO folders (BDISO, DVDISO, PS2ISO, PS3ISO, PSXISO, PSPISO) will be automatically created only when mM is used with supported configuration

Thanks, tried that and it worked!

Although seems you still need the Cobra Dongle - pops up an error when I try run it.

Guess I need to burn to CD then. Been a while since I last purchased some CD's lol

EDIT: Just to clarify for future reference, the error states that you require a Cobra dongle and tells you to goto the Cobra site to purchase one.

Ahh, snap. Well at least on Rogero 4.30 v2 we can play PS1 games after we have burnt them to a disc
Just get a few discs or a RW and erase it constantly. lol

Thanks DNB

Cobra only I'm afraid and looks set to be like that for a long time more considering how long the dongle has been out and has yet to be reversed engineered. They said they're going to be releasing a new 4.xx CFW for Cobra owners soon but I wonder that aside from the CFW itself and running the latest games if they're going to add other features such as improved PSP compatibility or doing something with the PS2 classics emulator...

To be fair they have delivered with regards to adding features so here's hoping.

So with the Cobra dongle you are able to play PS1 backups off USB / Internal drive as well as Play PSP backups and PS2 backups (even if you do not have a backwards compatible PS3?)

The only thing you can do without the Cobra dongle is play PS1 games via a burnt disc?

Pretty much except PS2 ISO loading is for internal HDD only, PS1/PSP can be either (though the compatability in my personal experience is that it's better to load PSP ISOs from USB).

You can also stream them all from a PC as well and everything is region free.
