*BAZINGA* (I know it's out of context, but it just sounds good right now )

I know that it's not only about the built in Hardware that makes the System good.

But this sounds awesome. Looks like Microsoft with its *XBox 720* will have a lot more to offer than Sony with its *PS4*.

Just to think about Kinect 2.0 and the Augmented Reality. I know it's gonna cost a lot of money extra, but I think it's going to give the player a whole new gaming experience.

Maybe Sony has some Ace-Cards up their sleeves that haven't been leaked/published yet, but for now, the new XBox is my favourite...

7. DirectX 11
All rumours point to the next gen Xbox having DirectX 11.
Without sounding too much like a dick, of course it's going to have the DirectX 11 feature set and probably some extra bits, just like how the Xbox 360 came with the DirectX 9 feature set with some bits from DX10. This is directed more at the Magazine than the article, though.

As for the rest, it all sounds pretty plausible to me. Other rumours have hinted at similar things. Kinect 2.0 will definitely be on the cards. Kinect's biggest limitation was actually the bandwidth that USB 2.0 could provide. USB2.0 can only really stream about 720p HD (or about 2 Mega Pixels at ~30FPS) which sounds like a lot but when you want to track delicate movements, it really isn't. Plus it's not just one camera, it's a camera and an IR camera running side-by-side. Being able to use USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt will make a hell of a difference alone, even with the same hardware in the current Kinect. Higher-resolution means more detail which means potentially better tracking (of course the main CPU will have more work cut out for it as well).

Either way, I can't wait for E3. Largely convinced that I'll get the next xbox before the PS4 but who knows.

if they actually do release their glasses then the augmented reality peripheral will be awesome (for me anyway) as im a sucker for something new like that.

my 3ds has been used more for the augmented aspect than for actual gaming lol

It would be like the WiiU's GamePad-Display, but without touch-function, it would however surely support Gesture-Handling through the new Kinect. (I think)

Just imagine 4 Players sitting next to each other, everyone wearing those glasses. Everybody can see what's happening on the TV, but everybody has his/her secret tactic on his glasses, controlling the menu on the glasses through the new Kinect, that can even track your finger-movement.

It would just be like a hologram you can controll with your finger-movements - like in movies!

LOL
Yeah, true, exclusive titles made me buy a XBox 360. But now I want to get rid of it because there aren't any left I could play.

But as you can see: You won't have to decide for any Next-Gen-Console because of the exclusive Titles (because there won't be so many anymore) but much more because of the gadgets you can get for them.

For the current gen Consoles you can decide already for Kinect (XBox), Move-Tracking Game-Controller (Wii) or another Move-Tracking Controller (PS3).

Of course you still have the decision for the exclusivity/genre (Sport-Games on the Wii) of games, respectively the graphics that you get on the console (compare PS3 & XBox with Wii).

But considering the next-gen-Consoles graphics or exclusivity of games won't matter that much anymore. What will matter is the gadgets you can get for your console and how those gadgets will extend your gaming-experience.

And for now my favourite is XBox *720*

I'm taking everything with a HUGE grain of salt.

So far it is all guess work. Just because it's a magazine guessing doesn't mean it's any more plausible then me or you guessing.

Never heard of them... seeing as this is their penultimate issue I guess not many have. Might as well just round up every BS rumor and even make some up since you're going out of business anyway lol
