If by slow they mean it isn't the cell then I agree, but neither was the 360's cpu and it runs games fine. This console hasn't even been out a week. We can't expect perfection. Also I would say "last gen" consoles considering the wii u is technically a "this gen" console as opposed to the Wii which earned the nickname Gamecube 1.5.
![]() You keep mentioning the motion technology thing being in development before Nintendo, but you have yet to address any of the other points I called you out on for being invalid. This fanboy **** is stupid, and expecting a console to be perfect on release week is a pipe drean. PS3 was far from perfect for the first year it was out, but we defended it no matter how bad us early adopters were getting shafted. The fanboyism is stupid. The PS3 is good for BD and has awesome first party games. The 360 is great for the online service and features the PS3 will never see. The wii was fun to play with my kids....which is what it was directed at....family/casual gaming. The Wii U has the game pad (for the love of whatever, dont start yelling remote play because they are not the same). Nintendo will always be a generation behind, but pointing out flaws just days after a console releases is stupid. Give it 6 months, continue to see crappy ports, then start complaining. Are you mad that you didn't get one? Are you mad that the Wii won this console war with last gen tech? I really don't undrstand why you are so hellbent on bashing this console into the ground. Everyone has different opinions, but you are taking this to a whole new level. Do you think my kids will really give 2 ****s about what type of CPU it has? Do you think anyone cares about who started shaking sticks at a camera first? Sony may have been developing it, but Nintendo put out a solid product while SOny ****ed off at the drawing board. So are you saying Nintendo and MS should've gotten Sony's permission first? LMAO I enjoy a friendly debate btw

The guy in that vid hasn't a f#ckin clue, he says SPE's in the PS3 arn't CORES, when even IBM(maker of CELL say they are).
Quote: Cell is a heterogeneous chip multiprocessor that consists of an IBM 64-bit Power Architecture™ core, augmented with eight specialized co-processors based on a novel single-instruction multiple-data (SIMD) architecture called Synergistic Processor Unit (SPU), which is for data-intensive processing, like that found in cryptography, media and scientific applications. The system is integrated by a coherent on-chip bus. Based on the analysis of available die area, cost and power budgets, and achievable performance, the best approach to achieving the performance target was to exploit parallelism through a high number of nodes on a chip multiprocessor. To further reduce power, the team opted for a heterogeneous configuration with a novel SIMD-centered architecture. This configuration combines the flexibility of an IBM 64-bit Power Architecture™ core with the functionality and performance-optimized SPU SIMD CORES. http://domino.research.ibm.com/comm/...nnovation.html |

This is simply not true. I've tested it: editing a random Star Wars article to alter a quotation, caused the article to be reversed a few seconds later and I received a warning for vandalism.

Probably best to ignore him now lol.
He clearly makes statements without looking at things objectively. His little hate campaign against Nintendo won't make any difference to success. I get all consoles and they are all good/bad in their own ways. Running a hate campaign without owning one is just an act of fanboyism

His Sony fanboyism blinds him and he twists points to suit his own gain. Anyhow, just ordered a Wii U Premium. |

I can't imagine the brainstorming session behind the guys making the controls for the games going like this: Employee 1: We'll assign grab to R. Employee 2: What is block assigned to? Employee 1: L and R. Employee 2: So you press them at the same time? Employee 1: No, pressing either will block. Employee 2: How do you determine whether you will block or grab with R? Employee 1: Ughhh... Yet that somehow happened 3 Smash Bros games in a row and had more than just that for dumb controls. I'm not going to pay a few hundred dollars just to play a Zelda game or 2 along with a few Mario Party games, they can keep it if that's all they've got. Luigi's Mansion was fun, but there's nothing to unlock and you can easily beat the game on a first try from start to finish in about 7 hours. If I ended up with one of there newer consoles for a surprise Christmas present or something, I'd probably grab a few games. There's a few gems I enjoy, but there's too little I enjoy on their newer consoles. They need some new stuff. Most of the most interesting things I've ever seen on TV and read are anime and manga, so why is it just Mario over and over and over? There 4 pages to this: http://www.gamefaqs.com/search/index.html?game=mario They must have around 20 different games involving Mario each console. They need some new stuff. Stop recycling the same old few things over and over. Also... Have ever played Atari? Their joysticks sucked. Could just as well have been a D-Pad with just 4 extra diagonal directions. The D-Pad on many 3rd party made controllers for any console past the Nintendo were more of an analog stick than those things were. Just because it was a stick doesn't really make it a joystick. Somebody could have modified an atari controller and replaced the joystick with a D-pad and everything would work the same. They didn't have the full 360 degree thing going like how the N64 did, and their games didn't allow you to precisely move in any direction either, just horizontal, vertical, and I can't even remember playing a game that did diagonal. Could have been, it's been over 20 years since I played atari and can't remember anything beyond jumping over alligators. Did any of the games have a cursor that could be controlled very well with the joystick? That would have surprised me a lot.
