All I could say is don't give up. Let me share a story.I was on rebug and decided to try out rogero 4.30.v2.0 I don't know if recovery is glitched on rebug) but I was getting a black screen...so I thought maybe I'm not supposed to do it this way. So then I tried it via toolbox, now that was a mistake. I would boot up my ps3 to a black screen in a loop. I thought I had bricked.

I just kept trying to video reset eventually a screen popped up with that standard screen to set up your display. I must have tried about 10 times until I got it working.

Does your controller sync in that black screen? do you hear any harddrive activity as if it's loading? Rather than trying recovery do a few video resets.

First things first just update multi man before you do anything and make sure you md5 check every pup
Make sure no game in ps3 also usb stick is closest to blueray drive
And also if screen goes black let it go if your not sure use auto turn of after update

dont no if it helps md5 check when you download it to the computer also md5 check when its on usb stick
only takes a minute of your time better be safe then sorry

but what program do you use to do this, at the moment i am using MD5 PSHasher 0.1 is this what you use if not can you recommend a better program to use please

i managed to flash Rogero 4.30 v2.0, route i had to take was this -->
REBUG_3.55.3_999_DGR_PS3UPDAT.PUP --> Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 -->
Rogero_CEX_4.30_v2.00.... it worked so no complaining again thanks for your time i bet i gave you a migraine lol

I am on KMEAW 3.55 and am ready to make the jump to Rogero.

Just to confirm, this will not wipe my data right?

Secondly, this is my method I will be using.

1 - Install new Multi-Man
2 - Install QA Flag and test
3 - Reboot into recovery and install Rogero 4.30

Anyone foresee any issues as I am going straight from KMEAW?

Any help would be appreciated especially about losing data.

Yes they are the steps to take

You should be fine, nothing should be deleted.

- Updating from CFW3.55/4.21/4.30 to the CFW4.21/4.30 v2.00 should be done using the following steps : 1- If you are on any CFW newer then 3.55 you can try updating from Recovery Mode to CFW4.21/4.30 v2.00. ---- If it didn't work (Data corrupted Error), then you'll have to Downgrade back to Rogero CEX3.55 v3.7 using the guide below. 2- Once on Rogero CEX3.55 v3.7 or any 3.55OFW/CFW, Update using the XMB update option to CFW4.21/4.30 v2.00 ---- If it didn't work (Data corrupted Error), Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu and update to CFW4.21/4.30 v2.00.

lol i just saw one german vid about upgrading to rogero 4.3 (one of the best tutorials on the net)and what i saw there was no instal pkg files on xmb after upgrading,wtf is with that,why would you remove that option,i would never consider using this new cfw,i am speaking for myself here,maybe the fw is good but i dont like that the instal pkg is removed,why can't people stay and do things simple,just like with kneaw with minimum modification on the fw
