Yes m8, my son telephoned me this morning about 6am to tell me his superslim 500gb ofw was allowing him into multiplayer online for the first time since saturday.

I didnt hold out much hope for mine which is on ErmaC cfw, I gave it a try loaded game before signing in to psn hit multiplayer and conected straight into Teryach servers (numbers changed in top right corner) I then played online for about 45 mins without being kicked before I had to leave for work.

Hopefully all will be the same when Im at home again in 8 hrs

I just tried and got the "server error" message again. Hope yours continues to work.

EDIT: I'm signed in and playing online with one of three blocked accounts. I'm one for two now. I'll try with the third accounts. Let's hope this lasts. If it does I'll apologize to Treyarc.

I wouldn't get too excited. At least not immediately. The first account I had success with was booted after a couple minutes. On that account I tried playing Nuketown Zombies which was installed as a DLC fix. I wouldn't try playing on that one. On the second successful account I played "The farm" which kicked me out after a couple minutes. The farm kickout seems to be a legit server error because I still have good numbers in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Whereas, the first successful account game the dreaded "220.-1" numbers in the upper right hand corner. I'm going to sleep. Keep me posted on any progress.

EDIT: I now have the "220.-1" error on all accounts again. It's almost like they're monitoring this or something. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody were tipping them off.

They're keeping up with us step by step. Seeing as we've already had people on this site say they'd turn us if they found out we were playing online, I think that's what they're actually doing...calling the 800 number and dropping a dime. It was working fine for a whole day until @Simonbuck posted on here that it was working.

Does me remind back in the days when there was a multiplayer crack for MW2 on the PC (2009), it was working sometimes but when they found out there was a new crack they blocked it again, it looked like they were also on the forum watching us.

I doubt somebody is calling up each time somebody says its working again lol, could they not simply read the forum themselves if it was that simple?

They have software to detect CFW, it cant be that hard to look for something in the firmware that is patched and shouldnt be surely, your connected to their servers, its not like you can block incoming traffic to your console with a firewall.

If you want to play BLOPS2, and probably most future games online, your going to have to use OFW, some games will simply use the online pass method, in which case, you'll have to own the game, but might still work on CFW.

Its a shame if im honest Activision didnt take that approach, using online passes per game, it would mean they get the game sales, everyone playing online has purchased a copy, not pirated.

I guess they assume, CFW=cheats, yet Ive seen people boosting like crap on this game already, people are using lag switches, all sorts.. thats people on OFW lol
