Problem is most of the people hear the same questions so often that when we hear them again some people don't want to respond and the number of people not wanting to respond gets larger and larger every time we hear a "dumb" question. I will compare it to the birth/death section in the newspaper. There are always more births than deaths. And for the scene there are always more noobs looking for info than people that have the info. I still ask "dumb questions from time to time but honestly I am hesitant to even ask sometimes because i get no responses. I have only been here for a little over a year and am constantly trying to learn, but people hear assume that you should already know or you didn't search or you should know more than you do. They forget that they had to start somewhere too so they make threads like this.

I can't tell you how many I've seen people ask the QA flag question or what is the proper way to downgrade to get to CFW 4.xx. That question is answered at least 25x daily. And the worst part is people who don't read directions at all and then ask questions that were already there in the first place. I remember when I first hacked my PS3 back in 2010. I used the ChrisTechTv tut. I must have watched that thing 5x before I even attempted to install. Then I paused it with each step just to make sure I got it right. All this info is out there.

Not everybody is as passionate or has the same desire to actually learn, Most people do want the quick answer. But that does not mean that they should be banned. if I tried to use a down grader for the first time on my beloved ps3 and i bricked it, Honestly the first thing i would do is make a new thread asking for help. This has been done numerous times already. Do I deserve to be banned for making that thread? I think most people would panic. And as much preparation i do before i flash, I am still human and we all make mistakes. It would only take one "dumb" move. Of course i would be searching answers while i await quick help, but At least I would know where my thread is

Hell, I dont care anymore. I'm with @Adamsville ... Ban everybody

Lol...no, they shouldn't be banned. I didn't say that. I'm just saying we should be harder on people to encourage them to search more. The easy approach apparently isn't working. Also, @Adamsville is blazed outta his mind. He has not idea what he's talking about. Ask him tomorow

call them a lazy fuc*tard for not searching and maybe just maybe they will search the next time and maybe even help others in the future.

ban them and they will never get the chance. either that or they will troll and create multiple accounts lol

With your post count you are allowed to ask "dumb" questions
And there is also PM and IRC to ask questions.

But if I ask a question I rather have no one answering at all as getting answers like "read the forum" etc. If people don't want to answer me serious than just don't. Never asked a lot of questions though, I know how to read and use a forum. I'm also more a helping dude as an asking dude

Problem is also if someone posts the "read the forum" etc. comment it is more difficult to give a serious answer after that comment.

And if everybody answers 2 or 3 n00b posts a day most n00b posts get answered. So sometimes I answer a n00b post and sometimes I think "now it is up to someone else, I have done enough today on this matter"

Why not help the noobs? Not giving the direct answer to their questions (which has already been answered numerous times before), but reminding him of the search button and the Tutorial section link. IMO, the same time that people spend being rude to noobs, they could spend giving directions.

if said noob claims to have looked but clearly hasnt then they deserve a little flame.

"can i hack a 3k 4.30 via software" is a blatantly obvious answer.

noobs are cool, we were all noobs. most of us however, read/searched for a while first

lazy / ignorant / "spoonfeed me *****" members are not who cant even read a big ass banner that couldnt get any closer to their eyes unless they were the centre piece of a bukkake
