have 2 kids and as u 40 somethings know, it gets busy. surf all summer and winter in the south means hook up the video games for the kids. . have a 360 hacked so the ps3 has collected dust for a year cause we have been at 3.55kmeaw and most games on ps3 are on 360 . but kids would love (who am i kidding , me too) little big planet karting and sports champions 2 to play. have never got the duplex eboot fix to work for lbp karting and wont waste any more time to try to figure it out, but looks like time to update cfw. i just dont to brick the system, dont need all the bells and whistles, just the most stable one . ErmaC 4.30 CFW v1.3 seems like the easiest to install, rebug looks good, but rogero has been in the scene for a long time. what do you recommend to update to as far as most stable , or do i wait for a newer one in the works thanks

My honest opinion, rebug 4.21.1 Rex is the most staple creek out. Rebug won't release any of their cfw with testing it and making sure it is 100% safe. People who brick using rebug cfw is user error and not the cfw.

Man, i would recommend you Rogero's 4.30v2.0 for now.

If you really just want to play and enjoy online, Rogero's is pretty stable, simple and better for you, but yes, it has some brick reports. But think, Rebug is on 4.21, what means that, some incoming games may required the newer FW vers. and you have to wait for a fix, or update you're CFW.

Like @jdtamimi said, it has the minor brick cases(i personally don't see a single post reporting bricks on Rebug 4.21 Rex), and it's a complex CFW with a lot of features, but if you're not curious or a advanced user, it will not make any difference to you.

You're on Kmeaw, so the only feature you will miss on Rogero 4.30 is the "install package files" function on you're XMB, but don't worry, just install the latest multiman before update and you'll be ok.

Do some search man, both of that CFW had their own tuts from their developers, following then you can update without any issues.

You can spoof rebug 4.21.1 rex with toolbox 2.0 to play online/psn. Also, the lastest multiman fixes the newer games to play on rebug 4.21.1 rex.

REX 4.21.1 all the way, that team was around since cfw started, they never release broken firmware.
Rogero is good but too many issues, some say its stable and some say its not.

Never seen anyone say that team rebugs cfw was ever unstable.

i will try rebug, any links to tutorials, i will have to go research, but can i go from kmeaw to rebug or do i have to go to ofw 3.55 1st. and if i have patched any eboots will it play w/ them or do i need originals thanks

Yeah go with Rebug 4.21.1, There cfw is very stable and packed with awesome additional features that know other cfw has.

The additional features maybe overwhelming to some but what's great about Rebug is you don't need to mess with any of it, out of the box it's ready to go.

I have not used the REX 4.21 CFW, have used ErmaC v1.4 and now Rogero CFW 4.30 v2.0 and with Rogero using Showtime and playing around in Multiman I have had my PS3 "freeze" or "blackout" on me and had to reset it o.0

Only once or twice though. ErmaC I didn't have any issues although was on there for like two days only. Then again, been on Rogero for around the same.

i am ready to try using itksamels tutorial and have read the whole thing, looks easy enough except the 1st sentence. what is the difference between cex and dex what does this mean, i dont want to start until i confirm i am a cex user? thanks

I like Rebug 4.21 REX, but I would choose Rogero 4.30v2 instead. Simpler and stable.

Actually, I would wait a few more days for Rogero 4.30 v2.01
