Thanks, I'll try that BitStream because 121106_2121 does not seem to work: Connects correctly and recognizes both of the dual NANDs connected, BUT when downloading the image, be it individually or both at the same time all I get is 0x00's.

For the record, I have removed the NANDs from a PS3 and mounted them directly onto an interface PCB I designed (so I know with 100% certainty that all connections are correct... I HOPE!):

Keep us updated on whether that bitstream works for you.

Update: Still the same problems!

Currently running software under Window 7. This may be an issue so will try Win XP on Monday.

Time to get the Oscilloscope out I think!

OK, I don't think windows is an issue.

Do you also recall which version of WinSkeet / USB driver combination you used please?

Cheers,

Andy

Yes, I can confirm it's working well under Win7.

Progress! After looking carefully at soldering and buzzing out for continuity & shorts etc I tried again using my WinXP computer at work.

WinSkeet v111205 Seem to be able to download an image to my PC WITHOUT any bad blocks being reported.

The resulting image file 'appears' correct as it is stuffed with random data.

However 2 problems:

1) CANNOT dump BOTH NAND chips without WinSkeet v111205 crashing.
2) The resulting image files for NAND1 is the same as that dumped for NAND2.

What is this about bridging RDY and P04 I wonder?

Anyway, progress! I get *something* from at least 1 NAND chip. I also wonder if Dual NAND functionality is not working yet on current BitStream I'm using (121106_2121)?

here for build a power source,or simply short green cable with a black one (so activate the psu without motherboard), then use orange cable witha black one so you can have 3,3volt

I am also trying to use Progskeet 1,2 on a bricked NAND Fat with motherboard SEM-001 board.
Tried soldering alternative point: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f149/cec...tml#post910444 (miss A9 point) and directly on a single nand.
Bitstream updated and last winskeet. No driver problems.
I can recognize nand but can't dump with different errors, now started but veeeeery slow, like 1% in half hour
Just some noob questions:
-how can I recognize which is nand1 and nand2?? I found these one but talk about LOW & HIGH and not 1 & 2...
http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/Hardw..._low.2Fhigh.3F

-how connect CE#? because there are 2 for each nand: CE_A CE_B
thanks for any help

You have to use only the primary CE, each NAND has only one. Second is needed if you want to make dual boot .
