I have a ps3 fat version 4.20, i never hack but i am trying to hack.
I already try to downgrade to 3.55 but it says the file is broken, i found that i need to put in 4.20 den but i don't know how. can anyone help me???

you need to buy a hardware flasher to downgrade...
there's no other way.

Hello @cokenim state your PS3 model to know which hardware flasher you need progskeet or e3.
And no like @Mr.Dutch there's no other way, no softmod, no nothing.
Only hardware flasher, you have to open up your PS3 and have some soldering skills also.

First do this:

1)





Locate that sticker and post here the model. For example something like CECHE-XXXX

That way i will know which hardware flasher you need.

2)

It's not a flashdrive, it's a device that you have to connect/solder to your PS3 to downgrade.

It's a 120GB one?...it's not Phat. It's slim.
Or you misspelled the model.
Phat models on serial numbers have one more letter = 5 letters. = CECHA OR CECHE-XX (examples)
Slim = 4 letters = Like CECH-2501A

Ok. You need to order E3 flasher, you don't need to solder.
If you want to downgrade you need a HARDWARE flasher, no software solution.
