A bit off topic (then a bit on)

I just bought a DS lite this week

They were on sale in one of my local malls I work in for a third (yes a third) of the price because they were trying to get rid of stock for some unknown reason. So of course I bought one. I thought if I didn't like it I would sell it privately for a bit more money easily, or the same price as what I bought it for. Luckily my brother in law had a R4 cart lying around so I tried it out and wow I really don't like the DS. The homebrew is terrible with the exception of moonshell. But who cares about videos on a DS?. Games aswell I know Its probably been said before, but with the exception of Resident Evil Deadly Silence, Dementia 1&2 and perhaps the recapturing of ones youth with New Super Mario Bros,...It is just what I expected. An insanely childish console for the masses and Pokemon fans. Nothing more, nothing less. I can totally see why psp brutally KILLS it. Selling it this week.

On topic:

A year for importing 26000 carts? Heavy considering the R4 truly can be used solely for homebrew just as the early ps dongles were. As bad as the homebrew is the amount of homebrew is considerably large.

I realize I am being quite naive though with homebrew. The majority buy it to put downloaded games on. So I guess nintendo have a point?

the ps was aimed at the more serious gamer (hence the control system)

on topic: the R4 contains nintendos code (thats how it works and is not sold blank) so no amount of legitimacy can be claimed as it uses their code without their consent. it is intent and act of mass distribution of copyright material

You can use brew and don't do warez...
I have R4 (yeah i have some games) on my 3DS but i enjoy the homebrew.
It's not WOW but it's something at least.

Well, at least here in Venezuela, neither Nintendo nor any money-sucking brand (yeah: $ony, Micro$oft...) cannot sues us. There's no known law forbidding you from importing/exporting r4, jailbreaking consoles and smartphones, releasing such jailbreak softwares... And in the hypothetical case that this law does exist, no law force will do anything for that... They barely move for murdering cases and other stuffs. Sad, but that's our situation here.
