You are screwed as of now. They do have solderless ones though, you just need to search E3 Flasher Solderless, or Progskeet solderless in google.

He has the CECH03, which is the phat 60gb, I got the CECHE01 80GB Phat. Both are the older backwards compatible phats, and both are NAND systems. Only the very last phats that were made were NOR systems, and every system after that has also been NOR.

Actually I have a question. Could I just get the E3 Card Reader, download and reprogram it and downgrade or is that too risky? Also, I found out that someone I know has a PS3 with CFW and he said he has PSN access. Is that actually possible as of now?

Depends on which firmware you are.
E3 card reader is used to enter FSM.
Yes, you have PSN access but some users with Call of duty black ops 2 and with CFW or just log into PSN only with CFW, you can end banned.
