Developers usually find a way for cfw users to have online access. Sony usually changes passwords (sort of speak) to keep from what the developers have done to continue working (continue to log into psn). Nothing is permanent, but so far I am on cfw and have had psn for about 2 months.
I think the devs have the leg up at the moment as Sony gave a strict (desperate) announcement lately abut being online with cfw. I am sure Sony is going to make a fix but it has not happen for 2 months, I think others have been online even longer. No one can say how long this will last, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year. Of course everyone prays for permanent. There is alot more that goes into playing your backed up game online than just having access to psn. You just need to research and read alot of tutorials. First of all, even with the latest 4.30 cfw you cant play BO2 online. So, if thats all you care about then you need to stay on your ofw and go rent or buy the game.............backups wont work. Second, the current fix is working...........noone has any idea how long that will be...........that is entirely up to Sony.........they may fix it tomorrow.
