I have this defect Slim 320gb playstation 3 model cech-2504b (and it is the downgradeble one)i can buy.. problem is that it shutsdown after 5 sek only geenlight and then shutsoff red ligh.

I have a E3 flasher flasher..

Is there some fix for this??

ore shuld i stay a long way from this one?

think im gonna try this one, only 20$ if it goes wrong!
I have a spare psu and good coling paste and a hardware flasher. allso the oven if it needs to get baked, and a heat gun. gonna try a lot of things!

I have seach all the ****ing net to get a solution to this problem but no one got it working or followed up on there threat. but im gonna do.

This is clearly a gray area with this 5 sec turn off thing.

don't confuse a resistor (those black little components) with resistance in board traces.

if you are only paying 20$ for it, what's there to loose, you can always sell the parts if you can't get it to work?.

Totally different Q: Can i backup NOR with my E3 flasher, if a ps3 have the RSOD "red screen of death" ???

Now i got the ps3 and it turns on for 5 sek and turn off with no light!
Tryed another psu no lock. and new paste but no luck. installed my e3 flasher and soldered the wire and it stays on.. had a little troble getting the e3 installed but got a dump from the bios..

i dont now what my next step should be.. should i try to downgrade getting it in F/S mode?? dont want to the wrong thing here! anyone have an idea!!??

@jesdaking , is the flasher making good contact?
i remember threads where people had problems getting good dumps because of bad contact.
and what i do know is if you solder the wire (tristate?) and it stays on then it's a software problem and not hardware. (lol, hope i'm right about this)

don't ask me more about this cause i'm a total noob when it goes about flashing.
i know it can be frustrating that you don't get reply's, it's also easy to overlook threads or new posts.

No now the e3 flasher reads error when i making a backup, so think i have to solder with the e3 linker. But i have some pure solder Equipment lol so i have to buy some new stuff lol.. this is getting serious!! Think i made this post ind the wrong place. Maybe in "downgrading and flashing" would have been better..

But i think its busted, if i dont have a positive dump of the bios. Thats sad :-( and i found out about the bad connection with the e3 clip today when i tryed to downgrade a ps3 with RSOD have some dumps from this one to. But think i have to be better at checking op on this backups now. Lol..

Maybe i sould talk to an admin! Maybe he can move this to the right place..
