It's the same. Unless you want to use CFW but just check what wololo has to say along with the news in here.

Unless you have hacked your vita already for psp games you might as well update. You can only install the exploitable games if you can download from psn and below ver 2 you cant.

I wouldn't swap eCFW for the current update now and I don't really give a crap about online play on the Vita's current limited library of games. Playing GTA LCS again, GBA, SNES and Megadrive games has been great.

I had the eCFW for a bit (using the Gravity Rush Portable exploit), but since I have PS+, I wanted the free stuff on the Vita too, so I updated. Of course the exploit doesn't work anymore, but I still have a PSP that I can run my CSO/ISO's from, and getting the PS+ stuff far outweighed it, even though PSP games definitely look better on the Vita. If I didn't have PS+, I would have stayed on 1.81.

moved from news to general psvita discussion lol.
when mine arrives i will likely be updating to latest version. i have a couple of PSP's on CFW that negates the need for what the vita can offer at the moment

I have a psp 5.00 cfw pro <--something but i don't have a **** on ps vita (ecfw or vhbl) so i should update? :D

how would you feel if the day after, a hack was released for the lower fw?
usually, lower firmwares are the first to get hacked. its your call. i will be updating as soon as mine comes but if i miss out, it will be my choice

i wanted the faster web browser and the free apps from ps store so i caved and updated to 2.0 im just hoping that the guy working on kernel mode hacks releases the game name stealth-fully and i can grab the game before it gets pulled
