Their still private keys, thats the whole point of the encryption... We can grab the Public keys from appldr, yet cannot calculate the Private as the fail has been corrected in 3.56+, you know this!

Game Disc are Encrypted with 'Retail' Private Keys
PSN Content / Game Updates / Homebrew and encrypted with NPDRM Private Keys

...

Uh, yeah games have been encrypted in the private keys we have, that is before 3.56, the whole point of the fail0verfl0w fail was that we could calculate the Sony Private Keys...

What about booting a "real" ps3 game then swapping it for the modded copy?

Like installing fmcb on the ps2. Does that trick work on the ps3 too?

no keys where blacklisted, sony cannot blacklist there own keys, the reason homebrew didnt work was due to poor replications of make_self, this has now been fixed in scetool, hence the resigner apps which make homebrew work on any OFW and CFW released by sony to date...
No. Homebrews do not work. That is why we resign them with more current keys.
If They worked on 3.60+ CFW then they would work on 3.60+ OFW.
The private/Public set of keys WE HAVE are BLACKLISTED, There is a second set that if I remember correctly, Cannot be calculated, as they did not have the fail, So that is why we used the Fsign On 3.55 (Thanks to FOF and Geohot)

You are an Idiot. Everyone knows sony blacklisted the keys, Do your research on the wiki Fool.

And where did you get these more current keys, considering we cannot calculate them, the static keys geohot used are blacklisted,

The reason these new eboot fixes work is because they use the header of a newer keyset aka they require a newer version, but the keyset used it still the older one, have a look at the scetool batch script...

WE DO NOT HAVE NOR CAN CALCULATE PRIVATE KEYS SINCE FW 3.56

You need a PRIVATE key to sign a file, PUBLIC key decrypts, cannot sign a file with a public key...

y u no mk sense..

Again please refer to where i mentioned that make_self programming errors have been corrected in the later revision of scetool... please then find the exact same quote deank has mentioned this..

oh and then please read kaka's thingy where he states the footer/header check sony implemented in 3.60+ ... based on keyset etc..

example

when 3.55 was first cfw, if u had homebrew and updated your ****ed nothing runs...

now if u have cfw and goto ofw providing the hb has been signed correctly it will run on OFW..

what wont work in hb that requires peek and poke, other basic helloworld and what not will execute..

duuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Yeah @danixleet is right. They blacklisted the keys that geohot generated. They didnt blacklist their own.
As for brew working on OFW that was true up until 4.21
