First you need to have a PS3 on 3.55, if you dont you need to downgrade... if it can be downgraded.

Without 3.55 as a starting point this thing is useless to everyone who thinks this will be great for "pirating on OFW".

the 3key as its been dubbed is an ODDE for the PS3. it works bassically the same way the Xkey works. program the device with your drive key and profit.

Bassically the only hope is for a jailbreak on later Firmwares that doesnt require 3.55 to install or some kind of hardware to extract the keys. However so far the only hardware hack relies on you being able to downgrade.

It's only a matter of time, fiirst this, then, c4eva and TX release LTU, then c4eva releases LT+ 3.0 for PHAT Hitachi, then c4eva finally has some free time and start looking into the PS3 BR Drives, then, let's say 6 months after that ? Then we will be playing burned backups and TX will be selling thousands of replacement boards for the PS3 BD Drive.
