How to use the pkg:

1) Run a game from Multiman
2. Returning to the XMB, if you have not already done so, start the game and download the update, at this point if the update is greater than 4.21 will give the usual error 0x80010009 and return to xmb..

3. Run Fix_Update_4.21+

The fix for that game is permanent

NOTE: If you have already downloaded the update just run the game from multiMAN, back to the XMB, run the pkg and run the game.

What is the brick risk? I read before that a bunch of people bricked, but that could be just user error I suppose.

Funny, because DEX FW 4.30, the update you want, is bricking converted consoles

I just switched over to this from 4.11 OFW. Successfully tested PSN network and all games. Works well. Nice to have updated 2k13 rosters!

So is this pretty much THE firmware to be on if you're running a converted DEX console?

The first version had a stupid "bug" that does not allow you to use the online pass purchased

Ah.. if you have not seen it yet, here's a pkg that allows you to create a dummy bdemu directly from your console..: http://translate.google.it/translate...dex%2F&act=url
The dummy bdemu occupies only 2mb on your usb device, then after you can partition the remaining space as you want..
