fan plugger is broken

i try to take the ps3 apart and that's what happened, now the fan cant get the power supply anywhere, is there another way without solder the plugger to the motherboard? can i just get the fan use the power supply from outside not ps3 if it how so? can any one help me please answer asps thanks

What plug did you preak off? You could probable solder to the leads if your good at soldering. Post a pic

can i make the fan run from the power supply outside like usb? i will post a picture at a moment, i have'nt solder anything yet that's why im afraid i will destroy the motherboard
here's the picture:



you could see one little thing from the motherboard is almost came off can i fix it by solder, is it hard?

No it's 12v just pay for it fixed your obviously not skilled enough to resolder it

Not a dig am just saying if you was you woudnt post it if your close by me I'll do it for a tenner pal

do you think how much they gonna take for it, also can i get the fan plug in something to get the power supply? ( it's driving me crazy and that's how i came up with this user name lol thanks anyway)

You may want to practicing soldering by soldering 2 wires together or something similar. Will be very difficult to damage the board as such but just have confidence ... Soldering isn't that difficult. Remember everyone starts out somewhere. Try and think of just glueing it as it is not much more difficult

Good luck if you decide to give soldering a go

just get an old tv remote and resolder the led to it and just **** around on it, once you have it down try this, or preferably pay a friend like 5 bucks to solder it for you btw awesome name

If you lived near me I'd do it for a fiver. I defiantly recommend learning to solder I will help a lot but I would never pay somebody else to do a job as easy as this. Rather than the LED idea you can't really get much simpler than this. Try asking friends to see if they have experience in soldering .. You never know they might do it for nothing.

EDIT: this is a 30 second job by the way
