No problem all you need is a soldering iron (i suggest an electric one) and some solder and that's it

Go to you local DIY store or similar shop. Not sure which country you live in so I won't provide links but I'm sure you will be able to get hold of one easy

Dont worry they are only cheep and I suggest reading a lot and i mean alot on the e3 flasher as I ran into a lot of problems (i installed mine last week) and just make sure before you install it it's not a fake and don't forget to backup your NOR

Tip with soldering is just take your time really. Defiantly try the old tv remote idea or try soldering 2 wires together before you start on your ps3 and also watch some YouTube tutorials, soldering is a lot easier than you think. I was like you when I first considered soldering

@plugbroken , @KillerBug had these fanmods, were you control the speed yourself, a 12V supply is enough to work.

25Watt or less i think, also it needs a small tip.

it looks to me like your connector can be soldered back, one trace looks a bit loose from the board though...
