What people don't understand is the 3.55 is outdated now.. Don't get me wrong i love kmeaw's repack of 3.55, it was stable and yet the best CFW to use. But its over now !!

Software Development Kits (SDK) are built for a reason, the newer the SDK generally means, newer functions are added, older functions are replaced, advancements in coding have occurred...

Previously Sony's SDK's didnt change much, so it was possible to grab a newer SDK eboot and simply resign it with older keys, but game dev's aren't stupid their programmers, most of which are more l33t than anyone on this forum, and if Sony's SDK 4.2X apply new methods of operations which not only make resigning the game harder for 3.55 then guess what its going to happen.

Example, if this save game error is happing for multiple games, wouldnt you think that maybe the save function has slightly changed in the newer SDK, how are you ment to fix that ? patch the eboot to use the old functions (if they exist) or resign newer fw files as 3.55 and MFW your 3.55..

Seriously 3.55 stop complaining, your that desperate to play warezed predb games then update to 4.XX CFW ...

Or do what i and others do and own multiple consoles

I'm on Rogero, no fixes required apparently with REX you still need eboot fixes kinda pointless to be on a 'newer' cfw and still require eboot fixes..

Rebug could make, if not already have a private 4.31 CFW but than you would loose dex as the eid5 check hasn't been publicly patched, and whats the point of them releasing a cfw which doesnt include dex function when the whole idea of RE(TAIL)(DE)BUG is mashed CFW..

Obviously he doesn't know who is Rogero, or what he has done, that is the most probable answer of why he doesn't trust the CFW. If he does "know" Rogero then I don't know why he doesn't trust the CFW honestly xD (beta testing was over long time ago).

I have done several installations of Rogero CFW's and haven't found issues, I even changed HDD and followed the proper procedure and didn't get any problems at all.

People who usually don't update at this point is because they are scared of doing something wrong and messing their PS3.

The only way a user can get problems with any firmware, is if they don't read and follow each of the installation / preparation instructions.

Staying in CFW 3.55 at this point is like the following analogy:

"If you have sex without the proper protection (condom), you can get many deceases or even worse if you have sex (with a woman) she could get pregnant."

By this analogy some people will be so scared that they will not even try to have sex (even when they want to).

So, right now people are like:

"If you upgrade from CFW 3.55 and you don't follow the proper procedures, you could end up having different problems with your PS3, or even worse it could get bricked."

Again, people get scared, prefer to not have sex...oops, not upgrading to the latest CFW (lol xD) that allows you to basically do everything you do on 3.55 (plus more) but without having to waste your precious lifetime doing patches, looking for them (wasting bandwith), etc...
