Hey looking for someone to both reflow or reball my old 40 gig ps3 nd downgrade it US
Hey guys,
I really just discovered the ps3 scene and my only ps3 is a 40 gig with ylod. and i really want it fixed and downgraded for me. if any1 can help please leave a post or send a pm |

Google computer repair shops in your area, and call around and see if any of them will fix the ylod problem. I did that and found a local shop near me that said they would and it only cost me 35$ and my ps3 is 100% again and I've yet to hear fan kick into over drive lol Start with getting the ylod fixed first. Then worry aboot the next step after the first problem is fixed. You can pm me after u get ylod fixed and I can point u in right direction for cfw Also if u send it out of state to fix problem people are charging 120-195$ for fix >_< Pays to search locally first

Yeah heat guns are not trust worthy, when you turn ps3 on does fan kick on for a sec? If so your ylod is prbly the same as mine was. Mine needed to be reballed/reflow cause the cheap ass solder $ony used broke and there cheap thermal paste was drying up bad.
Repair shop fixed all that, my suggestion would be just to take it into a local shop if u can find one cause most time they do it in same day. Much safer then trying yourself especially since u said your technology impaired LOL @driverx

I found a repair shop for 50 bucks !!! nd honestly that ps3's had a ylod for like a year nd have just been sitting in box lol so i have no idea

50$ do it bud ^_^ its much safer to do it that way, remember when u get it back DONT UPDATE console ... leave it on the fw its on :-)

im not really sure what the firmware is if im in luck it wwas 3.55 before it yloded or it might be the one right after it. so i probably going to need sum1 to flash it with progskeet or something
