Because they don't care about making something new system to difference between OFW'S (civvies) and CFW'S.
It's better to ban CFW users for them, i bet they enjoy doing that.
If they already have some long term solution to spot CFW'S...good riddance on that.
Also using PSN with mM is *suicidal* if the user really cares about his account or getting banned.

At this stances i don't understand users in general, if you don't want to get banned. Don't go online = End of history.
Or just wait for some release that masks (REALLY MASKS) you in a way that you can avoid it.

Think about it, you are a OFW user. You buy some used ps3 games from someone or a store. In order to play online you going to need to spend more money. Plus it's not good to have your CC information with Sony. They get hacked to much. I think its kind of okay but ten bucks, hell no. Like three dollars is fine but paying five is too much. The new games would come with a free code you meant?

There is a wide range of choices here. And yes new copy of the game comes with key so you can assign it to your PSN account or whatever & maybe if you sell the game you can assign key to some other account or something like that.
And ok not 10 or 5$ but it can be as less as 99cents. It still be money.

I can understand it on Xb0x360 since is common and users have to watch their asses all the time.

Some of the new games REQUIRE online passes for PSN play. I am fine with that. If you buy a used games, you don't get the pass. Affter all, you are getting the game at a discount.

and i think its just ok for you to buy your online pass. And it could be the same with CFW users. They dont get banned but insted they just have to pay that little to play online, but if Sony get a boner while banning people that's their deal.

In my distorted reality, if you're not doing anything stupid like playing a MODDED game online (black ops comes to mind) with CFW you may (in my theory) be ok; as long as you don't give people reasons to feel that you're messing with them in any way (again, modded games, saves, etc).

The idea of a userpass for playing online is a good idea, though it's a money grab. I am on the fence about it because 1) games are expensive nowadays and playability is a few hours and 2) who knows what the online play will be like? Will it be fun filled with good friends? Or will it be very laggy, buggy and full of arseholes.

Then there's also the ideal of being on PSN with a modded PS3 that can also trigger more attacks on Sony; which I think is the big picture. Play all the games you want that are pirated, hell even go online if you want, but just KNOW that they are going to protect their network.

Personally, I don't think there's any games out there right now that would make me WANT to play online. I've been playing MAG for a while now, but it's so dated. I don't want to play games like Black Ops because ... well it's COD.. the same crap. As is the HALO series. There is NOTHING out there very interesting to play online.

They have managed to take the fun out of the multiplayer experience.

I am sure we will be able to go online somehow even though sony banned us. If you have been baned and try to use fu*k psn with console id spoof it will show you an error 8002a224 which means invalid console id. So if we could create a new kind of fu** psn we could hide our already banned console id and get acces to psn :P??
