Hello

I got a ps3 model 2504a date code 1a with factory 3.56 fw.
My ps3 is now on 4.11 OFW
I wanna go to 4.30 e3 cfw with it but i need some help.
I got some questions so here it goes:

1. Do i need to upgrade to 4.30 ofw first?
2. How do i patch my dump? I couldnt find any guide anywhere how to do that? i have the files from the musketeers but what do i do with them?
3. If i get a valid dump and something goes wrong can i avoid permabrick?
4. do i need to flash in flashfun mode?

If some pro's can answer my questions would really appreciate it

1. I don't know, maybe someone else knows.
I think you can do it from any firmware.
2. use this in a .txt file:

1;0C0010;6FFFE0
2;7C0010;6FFFE0
3;80000;20000
4;A0000;20000
5;40000;20000
6;60000;20000

I am not sure if it is correct, please correct me if I were wrong.

3. Don't know because I don't have the experience with this situation, but I think you will be able to unbrick.

LOL, You cant go to any CFW with your unit if it CAME from factory with 3.56.

LOL, Yes you can. Did you read the guide?

You have to patch your dump with flowrebuilder.
As long as you have a valid dump before you try any flashing, you will be able to recover your ps3 from brick.
